Does anyone Recognize This loader model?

Just picked it up tonight. Guy said it came on my ym240d.
I had assumed it would be a YFL240, but that doesn稚 appear to be the case.
The only tag I can read on it says å±*ohnson workhorse?
That doesn稚 give me much, but it痴 a start.

I vaguely remember a 'Johnson Workhorse' loader mentioned here or in a Craigslist ad. That looks to be comparable to the Yanmar YFL loader, and to my Great Bend loader. You definitely have a heavier bucket.

My hoses look as least as shabby as that but in near 20 years I've only had to replace a couple due to seepage, and a couple more up front after I ripped them off rasseling a downed apple tree. I wouldn't spend any money on hoses, or rebuilding cylinders, until after a few days use to appraise what needs attention. That control valve looks a lot better than what was on mine when I bought it. I eventually replaced it after I lifted a 650 lb tank and the control dribbled on my foot. Missing pins, and structure? Looks like you have some work to do for those. Incidentally that loader control might mount upside down like this replacement control I eventually installed so check this before building a mount!

A couple of pix from an old CL ad. Might be identical to your loader?

But the important stuff - what's that red rat rod in the background? A cut down Mack cab? IH ????

That is the Johnson Workhorse loader, built by Arps (now Ameriquip) and marketed by Yanmar as the YFL240.
No parts are available for it. But cylinder and valve seals are pretty much standard.

Thanks for your insight!
I did a ton of web searching last night and only found a couple loafers that looked similar to mine.
Of course, they were old eBay adds and there was no info on the loader itself.
I’m happy to hear it’s the YFL240.
Now my goal is to find photos of how the subframe is built. Looks like I’ll have to build my own since this one is missing.

I’ll need to research the control setup as well.
The actual valves for operation was provided in a bucket with a few additional hoses (pictures above) but there is a whole other block attached to the loader currently with only 2 open ports with quick connects on it.
It almost appears the previous owner added provisions for aux hydraulics.

I’ll post more photos of that later when I’m back home.

I appreciate the input!

Yeah, impressive isn't it!

Here's what one frame would look like. The two plates between the upright tubes connect to the 4 bolt holes you posted pictures of. The rear plates bolted to the rear axles.

Nice! That痴 an excellent perspective!

Looks like the rear Mount utilizes both the drag bar frame holes as well as fender mounts under the axle.
That痴 a good lead.

The center support structure is tricky. Looks like I壇 up need to remove the front driveshaft to install that. I was laying under there staring at it all trying to wrap my head around how I can utilize the empty bolt holes under the trans as well the 4 on each side I pictures, while still making it removable.
This setup looks like once it痴 on, it痴 on. Not that I知 opposed to that.
I appreciate the picture!

I壇 love to see how the rear axle reinforcement bar is attached to the rear!
I got the center mount for the towers built, but still havnt decided on how to handle the rear.

Here's the photo again that I linked to in your other thread.

And here's a photo showing the front end of those bars. (I originally posted this to illustrate the 'old man step' that I added.)

Your setup is the best I can come up with. Utilizing the draw bar mounting point.
My plan was to build a plate that goes between the dig case and draw bar bracket and through bolt it using longer bolts.

What I don稚 quite understand is why a simple 1/2 bar oriented vertical is sufficient to 1) support the loader and transferring the force to the rear axle and 2) vertically support the machine in its entirety while carrying a load at capacity in the bucket.

I知 going to step that up to either heavy gauge angle iron, or 2x4x3/16 tube.

I do like the 登ld man step and might see if I can sneak that in too :)

I agree, that old man step is nice, I wouldn't mind having that on my 2210d as well. It would make getting on and off a lot easier.

This bucket has been modified. They added a different cutting edge that extends up the sides a bit, and added some tube across the top to reinforce it. They have hooks on the back so I suspect they were lifting things with it.

Can you snap a picture of how that read support bar connects at the rear end?

Yours is the first I致e seen that exactly matches mine!

I知 cutting those dang tabs off the front diagonal bars. I don稚 see any use for them.

I got home late today. I'll get some pics tomorrow for you. As a description, the round bar ends with a flat piece that is bolted thru below the axle housing that also has the sway chain links. I also just went back and took a closer look at your pics. Your mount is a lot more heavy duty than what mine is. I think you are on the right track and will end up being way better built than the factory setup.
