Dang the new 4910 isnt even here and a guy wants to trade me a new echo 2511PN for it.

Hmmm Dont really need a 4910 and rear handle version of 2511 to go along with clone 2511 be nice.

Plus side he already put a Egan pipe on it too.

I have a 2511T with the Egan pipe. It's an absolute screamer of a saw. I cut a lot of wood with that thing just because it's so dang fun. It would be a tough decision for me considering the 4910 and the 2511T are two of my most favorite saws.

I have 2 501 muffler modded and a echo 490 ported already and a clone 2511 TH.

I am sort of leaning toward the rear handle 2511.

I will like to see your comparison of the 2511 verses the clone.

two 501's? You lucky dog!
With that pipe on it is better then some guys port job and their muffler mod.

I did a thread on a bunch from dyno runs. That little pipe alone is most of the gains made.

Some using stock muffler but opened up and ported cylinders. Didnt gain as much as the pipe alone.

I have 1/4" mini micro chain on my clone for pruning cuts. The rear handle one has 325 80TXL nano narrow kerf

I've been meaning to check the squish on my 2511T but haven't gotten around to it yet. May do that this weekend.

Guy said he wants to trade. So when 4910 gets here. I am to get it out. Check over.
Test it stock and check tune where at stock.

Then muffler mod and retune and test. Then ship it off.

Amazing stuff. :cool::oops:(y)

@JeepHead I ask some of the porters in my group. 2511 stock squish

About .032” or so. A gasket delete works on them but the cylinder extension bottoms out on some of them

I was considering porting my 2511 but not sure if I will or not. Doesn't sound like it's worth it. I very well may do a delete on it this weekend if I have time. Me and the twins have a lot of wood to cut this weekend and they're both grounded right now so that means extra hours as punishment... Although, not sure if that punishes them, or me! :ROFLMAO:

All they need to keep fines out is this nickle o-ring. You can add grease to base of af mount too but didnt see a reason to to date. Been doing this on these since 2022.
So one going in right away too.

4910

Tune was so off from factory again. Idle 4400, lazy bogging L Side to lean. H to fat in Mid 11’s again.
So a real Turd if someone bought it to use. As is. Smh.

I’ve had 2 now I would throw if tried to use the way they came. Horrible not usable at all.

Others with limiters still on I could tune right. This one wasnt happening the L was so off.

Pulled the plastic stop to get enough L for tuning. The muffler mod and tuned to 13.5K with H.

Went and picked me 5 extra fasteners for the top av’s on these things.
They keep getting impossible to get out. 2 out of 3 now.
🤦‍♂️
😂

I've stripped hex 2 out of 3 now. 🤦‍♂️
Try putting a dab of lapping compound on the tip of your hex driver. Works for Phillips head screws too.

Worth a try but dont know if it will stop the tiny hex fastener from giving out.
