What I'm asking is there a technical reason to grind it flat after welding it? Sheesh. I think I'm typing in English. :confused3:
Yes there is a technical reason for grinding the weld. I will post the reason on Wednesday,,,,

The reason for grinding is it is a cheap way to do a pretty good quality check of the weld.
Many times, it is easy to lay a bead, which only fuses to one side,,, and not the other.
In many cases, the unfused portion of the weld LOOKS great,, but, it will leak.
99% of the time, even a minor smoothing of the weld bead will present the unfused portion of the weld.
