Karavan Trailers?

Anyone have any experience with Karavan trailers?

I need a small trailer for my SxS and mower, i.e. lightweight utility trailer, 6' x 10'. Karavan reads good, but I'd prefer some first-hand experience or knowledge before doling out my hard-earned money.

Thanks for any input.

PS My "real" trailer is a 20' PJ; king of quality, in my opinion of course.

At that small i would just get the cheapest A frame tongue one you can find...i would stay away from carry on if you can however.

I was looking at a 6.5x12 at thr local trailer dealer a few years back. $2k out the door. No brakes or anything fancy, but you have another trailer for that.

I was prob looking for the same reason you are. I dint need my huge trailer to tow 1 quad. I found a old 6.5x12 with a crappy axle and tires. Put new axle, rims,tires, tongue deck and lighting on it. Im about $900 into it.

After looking at what seemed to be a thousand utility trailers, I finally went back to the Karavan 6' x 10' trailer.

Things I like were the hinged swing down sides, tailgate and front. All sides are also easily removable with pull pins. 15" tires (although cheap!), LED's all around, wiring inside channel rails. Trailer weighs 990#, load limit 2000 pounds. Price $1300.

What I didn't like was the fixed position of the tongue jack, and no tie-downs. I immediately replaced the tongue jack with a 1000 pound swing up style, and 4 - 2600# WWL Eye-bolt tie-downs. Holes for those was already drilled on the trailer. So, I ended up with $1400 in the trailer. Hopefully it'll fill all my utility trailer needs for a while.
