Kubota bx25
Forum members - I need your assistance. Man by the name of King is a very good friend of mine whom I've know a long long time. He actually turned me on to the Kubota BX25 tractor which I promptly bought, which brought about my enthusiasm and the love for this forum. Now King is looking to buy a BX, possibly a BX2660. He reads this forum all the time. Anyway he is on the fence about the purchase and so I thought we'd just push him over.... I need for everyone reading to just respond to this thread with a -

"Hey King - Just do it" or whatever you think that will work comment !!

Maybe this will send him down that same road I'm currently on - Kubotamania:laughing:

Hey King... it always a good time to buy a tractor if you need one!

Even if you don't need one yet, it is better to be prepared... that's my motto.

Plus, you find all kinds of uses for it that you never thought about.

I'd say, go down to you Dealer and see just what kind of out the door price deal he can make... then it's an easy thumbs up or down.

Remember, TBN requires all member to post at least one picture of baby's arrival!

Dear King-

Buy a new Kubota, but make sure it is WAY bigger than Tachdriver's. This will make him second guess his purchase and get upgrade fever. The cycle of one-upsmanship will continue and have the indirect effect of stimulating the economy. Plus steel is just getting more and more expensive. What are you waiting for?

Hello King,

Well I just joined the forum tonight and tomorrow morning at 9am the dealer will be delivering my new BX25. I had them add a roto tiller, canopy cover, tow bar and a thumb on the BH. They threw in a 3PH and balast in the tires for me in part of the deal. Now that I have spent a couple days reading here looks like I will be getting some skid plates and arm rests. I do believe the beer holder is standard equipment so all good there .

Enjoy your trip down to the dealer.

Oh and hello everyone else. Lots of great info here and look forward to learning and reading more. I'll get pics of the toy when they show up tomorrow and post them in a new thread. I don't want to hijack King's.

 times 10!!!!!!!!!!

I bought used cheapos tractors and had to replace them every 2 years. Now I got a BX with FEL and can't imagine how I lived without one!!!! :ashamed:

King: If you have a 100'x150' lot with a house and drive way taking up most of that space, you don't need a tractor. If you have around an acre or more you NEED a tractor.
I bought my first one seven years ago and can't imagine I'll ever not have a tractor as long as I'm a land owner.
When I bought my first one I bought a BX2200 FEL MMM and thought I was buying a life time lawn mower with an expensive wheel barrow on the front of it. I later found out I had a powerful piece of equipment that could tear up Jack or refine/subdue the land and save my body, mostly, while doing it. It also means I don't have to wait on someone else to do jobs for me that I can do better, most of the time.:)

As mentioned, my only real regret is that I couldn't afford one sooner.

One word of caution, a mistake often made by those new to the tractor owning/operating experience is NEVER EVER let your wife on it unless you are prepared to buy another tractor or get relegated to being the ground crew.

King: I got so much into this that after encouraging you to buy that I talked myself into buying another one. It's on it's way from Atlanta to Somerset or will be in a couple of days.

John, what did you buy this time?

BP talked me into a B2320. Went for least expensive gear drive, ag loaded tires. No FEL or MMM. It's just for tiller, boxblade, plow and overseeder work between home and rental property.
It's at Atlanta and will be on Barlows next delivered order which should have it to me some time next week. Never drove it but believe it will do what I need out of it. I till some ground for my renters. I have a plow that I traded out of Milkman which I may try to plow with before tilling.
