Comparison Kioti CK3510 vs. Kubota L3901

The most glaring example is the FEL lift capacity and lift height. The Kioti lifts a full 700lbs an additional 4" which means that at the same height the difference is more than 700lbs in favor of the Kioti. Another way of saying that would be that when the Kubota is maxed out at 1,131lbs at 94", the Kioti could probably lift close to 2,000lbs to the same height. It's not double, the capacity, but like 70% more..
The spec sheet gives those values, then states "*Specifications may vary with tractor model, front axle configurations, tire size option and type of attachment, and are subject to change without notification." Are those the actual values for this model? Because 1,800 sure is a lot to have up in front of a 2,700 lb tractor.

They definitely show those specs for that model. My guess is that the disclaimer covers differences in lift height, dump height, etc between the different tire type/sizes. The same machine with R1 and R4 tires will have slightly different actually FEL height specs since the tires are different heights. I doubt lift capacity would vary since that's simply a function of pump relief pressure (assuming same model loaders).

That is a lot of weight for that size/weight tractor, but there are others that lift more at the same weight. For example, an LS R3039 is spec'd at lifting 2,250lbs to 92" and it weighs 2,700lbs without the FEL.

Exactly ;)

The 3 pt telescoping lower links and stabilizers make hooking up so much easier. . . .

aturne67, pay attention to what k0ua said there. Those two items can turn a frustrating, back breaking, knuckle busting job into merely a PITA. For example, I've got an 1,100 pound Gannon box blade and I can't budge it a fraction of an inch by hand, so to hook up to it the alignment between the lift arms on the tractor and the clevis arms on the box blade has to be perfect. With my extendable lower lift arms, I can back up to it and get close to where I need to be and then use the extendable lower lift arms to fine tune the front/back and up/down motions needed to get the lower lift arm ball joints lined up exactly right to slide the hitch pins through.

It's still not a fun job most of the time, but it is infinitely less frustrating.

Oh, and someone will come along and say "just buy a quick hitch and be done with it." Great idea except my Gannon box blade is not quick hitch compatible.

A quick hitch certainly can take a lot of the frustration out of attaching and detaching implements. But for a quick hitch to really work, you have to either (1) commit to buying only quick hitch compatible implements (which eliminates many of those great Craigslist finds), or (2) be willing and able to modify your implements to make them quick hitch compatible.

Pappy I took the time to convert mine over and the the quick hitch with a hydro top link is sooooooo! Nice. It makes hookup so easy I highly recommend it. You will kick your self for not doing it sooner.

I had a quick hitch and didn't like it.
The top link couldn't move between the links to let my mower and brush mower float over rough terrain.
Got rid of it.

That about sums up my experience! I prefer the extendable links myself and have no problems hooking up any of my attachments. What is best I haven't had to modify anything so the quick hitch will work with my older stuff.

Talked to the Kioti dealer again today, really impressed with them. I was asking him also about the Dk series tractors and he said that they don't make the Dk 40se anymore? But they are still on Kioti's website? just wondered what the deal was with that?

Thanks again for all of the input

I think I mentioned earlier that the DKSE is longer in production. The reason is our wonderful government. The EPA decided that tractors pollute too much, so we got the Tier 4 requirements. As the DK series did not meet these standards, they were discontinued. Their replacement is the NX series, 45HP+. The new DK10 series is actually the replacement for the old DS series, the budget line up of Kioti. The CK10 replaces the CK series. Some changes are good, but the elimination of the DK will definitely leave a gap hard to fill. As for the website, there are still a lot of them around, and an up to date website with accurate info is not the highest priority at Kioti.
