A lot of new LS owners state they have oil leaks and you have to keep an eye out for loose bolts all the time.

But I get your point, spend up to 20% more up front for hopefully less headaches down the road.
This guy gets it

The point is, it appears that korean built tractors are not built as well as kubota, deere, yanmar, massey. Seeing how i am 2 for 2 with them. Do i bite the bullet and spend the extra money up front for a so called name brand in hopes of having better results or do i try another korean built one and hope 3rd times a charm. I can tell you its not from how i am using them. I can also tell you that if you had been buying korean built tractors instead of kubotas , you wouldnt of had such good luck.
Well, three of those - Kubota, John Deere, and Yanmar - are mostly built in Japan and to Japanese manufacturing standards. I don't know about Massey anymore.

Whatever it is that the Japanese do differently, it does make them last longer and cost more. The same goes for a lot of their products, so their quality is no accident. I've had all three makes, and think that quality is worth the extra cost. Others see it differently.

rScotty - wishing I could say they were all built here.

Im not stuck on loader lift but it is a big factor, same with ergo's i cant stand a loader mounted valve. The korean tractors do spec more and offer more per dollar, but at what cost? Reliability and parts support, is it worth it? Thats what i am trying to figure out
Loader lift on some models is a hugely misleading factor. I see higher lift capacities for some tractors in the company literature, but the tractor size and weight isn’t more than a comparable unit with lesser lift capacity. There are some brands that advertise higher loader lift than my tractor that weigh very close to mine. I have used mine at max lift capacity and can say that I wouldn’t trust trying to lift any more weight in this size tractor.

Massey is japan aswell. Its their culture, they have no life. Every thing is work work work and they have alot of pride. Koreans do alot of out sourcing, parts come from china vietnam ect. Plus they dont care as much. Remember when daewoo cars came to america? They were pure junk, same goes for kias and hyundais today.

So my ls 226 is comparable to the kubota l2502. My tractor weighs 3000lb with out loader or balast, loader is rated for 1900lb at 60in and 1500lb at full height of 94in. But the kioti ck2620 weighs around 2600-2700 lbs and is rated for the same as the ls lift wise. Being lighter you would think it would be rated for less. So i get what you are saying

Why did you purchase a Korean tractor when you're already certain their manufacturing is subpar?

I could post links to threads of all brands having a list of common issues, many of which should have been caught by a good dealers PDI, but I'm not going to bother.

Go buy a Deere from a corporate dealer.

To add to what tacticalturnip just posted….Seems like there’s a few complaints about the ck26 series loader mounts.
Kubota too . Point being, IMO, all the newer cuts and scuts have issues. Figuring out which ones have fewer seems to be luck of the draw nymore. Any chance you need some skid plating to work in the woods?

Manufacturing post-COVID seems almost unpredictable, certainly from this outsider looking in's perspective.

I will say that you seldom see problems with Yanmar. I'd like to think that's not just due to their lower sales volume, but instead a positive display of their quality.

No Cuts, Scuts or Putz here, never will be. I have no plausible use for a small tractor. Only 'putz' is me. If it's not at least 60 PTO power, it has no place here.
