Kubota B2650 and B3350 info and hints

My tractor was a "take back" by kubota because of snow clogging and some dpf issues. My dealer said that all of the issues had been fixed. Not sure of the specifics but when I got it it had 64 hours. As I mentioned before, it regened at 84.9.
I figured that I can live with it being a used machine with a new tractor warranty for the many thousand dollar discount I got. Time will tell.

SANDYC.....any idea what the "SNOW CLOGGING" issues were and what the fix was?

I was told that the very fine powdery snow was able to be drawn into the outside air filter and choke the engine off. As mentioned before, my dealer says to have an extra filter so you can thaw the frozen one if needed. I am also getting an additional air intake "snorkel" and will be trimming/shortening it so I can then turn the air intake down toward the engine behind the rad and maybe eliminate this issue. should reduce the snow thing....I think. Anyways, for $27 plus shipping it is worth the effort. The part number is 6C430-58250 and is available from Messicks or the Kubota Parts Depot in New Hampshire.

Kanook,

I've read that others have located the intake behind the radiator as sandyc's dealer suggested. Just remember to move it back in the summer, especially when brush mowing!

Thanks Bumper ,

I did drop mine a little below the radiator and it worked fine for me , no snow problems . Your reminder inspired me to put it back which I forgot about doing .

You guys have any pics of the intake positions?

Try as I might, there is no way that the intake for the 3350 can be adjusted so that it is behind the rad. Hence my ordering of a new snorkel that I can cut/trim so that it draws warm and hopefully non-snowy air from behind the rad. As soon as I get that done I will post some pics. No rush now but I might as well get prepared for this coming winter....It is 44 here right now so maybe I'll need it sooner than later!

Sandy,

You could just remove the intake tube at the air cleaner - - that might be good enough as there's a foam seal on the underside of the hood. The intake on the air cleaner would then be offset from that and would mostly get air that comes through the radiator. Optionally, you could fashion a simple deflector of either aluminum flashing or a suitable piece of plastic cut from a milk jug to replace the stock "snorkel" so it sucks in air a little lower down.

Good ideas. Think I'll give these a try. Thanks for the info
