Until someone else chimes in with information that shows that the front blower used on the Bxx20 series is somehow different than the one used on the BX, which have the same or less pto hp than any Bxx20 tractor, then I'd say you'd love a front blower on a 2920, 2620 or 2320.

Was it possible the ROPS were down on that demo unit? They tend to rattle badly and that is an easy fix.

As far as the 3 cyl diesel engines used in the Bxx20 series, you'd be very hard pressed to find smoother running engines anywhere, imho.

I hope you'll post back with additional expectations, concerns or questions.

I purchased the 2920 last month with the bigger, 63" front blower - B2782 I believe. The unit is quit, vibration free and runs the snow eater very well at about 2,000 rpm. I have yet to run the revs up much higher as I break the maching in. I couldn't be happier - other than not having a cab. I added two front facing lights, one rear facing and an amber strob. I put the three switches on the black plate located next to the 2wd to 4wd lever.

I was looking into the B20's last year for my Mom and Dad who were thinking of replacing their BX2230. They ended up not trading, but I test drove the B2920 and 2620 an never noticed any abnormal vibration.

I don't know? Maybe the unit you tried had a problem... I agree, you should try a different unit. Usually dealers have quite a few B's on the lot.

looked at b2920 today. started it up and ran the fel. seems well built but i shut it off and holy cow my whole body was still viberating after i got off it.was priced at $22500, with 63inch front mounted snowblower and fel for 48 at 0% anyone have input on this?:confused2:looked at bx2660 also but i dont want a suped up garden tractor! help

After looking at all of them a few years ago, I wound up with the "souped up garden tractor" and couldn't be happier. BPFick has a very good write up on the BX and B as does John Thomas.

I've had a B2620 for nearly three years now, and have been pleased with it. I have a chipper, and a 54" rear mounted snowblower in addition to the normal box blade, middle buster, etc. I have bogged the engine a couple of time blowing packed, and heavy snow, but that is the only time I've felt the need for any more hp. The B2920 should address that with no problem. I haven't had any vibration issues with mine, and haven't read about any issues with other tractors in that series. The front mounted snowblowers used on the BX, (50"), and on the B (51") are interchangable, but the 51" blower is built quite a bit heavier. I've read a couple of posts here where the unit used on the BX proved to be a little too light, and needed some reinforcing, but I think for the most part folks that have them have been quite satisfied. The 50" BX blower is lighter duty and has L brackets for skid shoes mounted in the middle of each side at the back. The 51" is the high capacity unit and has real skid shoes on the sides. It is also of heavier construction. Yes I looked at both and yes I went the extra for the 51" high capacity unit. This is paired with the B2620 and works very well. If I had one complaint about it, it would be that it seems to leave trails for cleanup runs more so than other units I've had. Additionally, this past Wednesday's heavy snow that got sleeted on really taxed the unit more than I've seen in my nearly 3 years of ownership. The RPMs kept dropping but this stuff was heavy, packed and nasty. It still got the job done, just more slowly than I've become used to.

As far as vibration goes, I have zero problems with vibration on the B2620. The 63" unit is not recommended for the B2x20 series either although it seems to fit. The 63" was an option for the B7510, B7610 which makes one wonder. I personally think the 63" is too much blower for the PTO hp available on the B2x20 series.

I have run the 63" blower with a B7510 and it will handle it but I would say it is underpowered for anything but a couple inches of snow. The b2920 I think would be quite adequate except for feet of heavy wet snow. You have HST so you can adjust your speed to the power available.

ok gents, test drove bx2660 with fel, then test drove b2920. the bx had turf tires and i feel it was a nice unit for light jobs. moved snow with the fel and it did well! but in my mine i know i need more from a tractor than what it offers. thats why we test drive, right? the b2920 was great, more hp and weight. the fel felt stronger and the bigger tires were sweet-r4s.:thumbsup:now comes the difficult part, if i am going to snowblow with the rig i know i would love to have a heated cab! wisconsin gets cold and running for 2 hours just test driving with fel was the tall tell sign that a cab will be in my future! got alot of landscaping to do and most of all vip is snowbowing.thinking about b3030 with cab? heard a new revised b3000 is coming out and dealer has 3 ordered. also bobcat has my attention, ct235. i know it has 35hp and 26.6 at pto. ct235,fel 72inch blower $23000 was the quote i got from tristate bobcat. iam all jammed up, cant decide:confused2: what do u guys think? sorry so winded but had to get it off my chest!:laughing:
