However, something good has come out of this situation. I'm going to GIVE IT AWAY!

Here's the story. When I was 10 years old I was sent to Residental/School for children who had no other place to go--some orphans, but mostly children from broken homes. School and work shops. (I worked in the Print Shop running dangerous machinery, that an adult man would not be allowed to operate today. No safety devices. OSHA would have a field day!)

This was a tough school. No time-out corners back then. Misbehavior was dealt with swiftly with a wooden paddle. The lesson that was taught over and over was NEVER, NEVER LIE! Lying would get you double whacks and loss of priviledges.

That school today takes wonderful care of over 100 children without a dime of government money. I have supported them in a small way and I thought to myself, instead of getting all upset over a silly tractor, I'll give it to the school . They have a Farm Program and will cetainly be happy. My wife will be happy, I'll be happy and even the dog will be happy!

I kid ... That's very nice of you. I bet they'll be able to get over having to jiggle the 4WD & shift levers a little & replace zerk fittings. :thumbsup:

BTW nearly every time I shift between L, M & H, & nearly every time I shift into or out of 4WD, I have to tap the HST pedal a little. And if I want to shift from say M and 4WD into say L and 2WD, I usaully have to tap the HST pedal twice, once for each move. Not a big deal to me. Part of the deal. :thumbsup: Even with that I still feel my 2010 L3940 is a very well built machine.

Yeah I know about the giving it away and all but what makes you think or
maybe I should say, assume that they wouldn't care. If it had been my
tractor there would have been a brand new one brought out for keeps.

Alden, why don't you get in touch with Kubota and let them know what you are doing. After telling them of your generosity ask if they would donate all parts for the first service and send a tech for the day or week to teach how to service and minor repairs.

The best advertisement for a legitimate charity is word of mouth, they might get other contributors based on your referral, maybe even someone reading this thread. Would you be willing to share their name?
