Kubota L 3700 SU

The brochure says it is supposed to come with a quick attach loader. I told my dealer I really didn't care if I had a quick attach so I am probably getting the standard pin on.
They were $2000 lower then the other dealer I was working with so it really doesn't matter to me if it helped get the price down. I told the other dealer the same thing, but I don't think the salesman was listening.
I really don't use any other front end attachments so it shouldn't affect me. I assume the entire FEL will come off as easy as my B2920.

Is that a quick attach loader, or a quick attach bucket?? If it didn't come with a quick attach loader I don't think they'd sell even one of them.

Mine has the pin-style bucket, I was too squeaky to go for the skid-steer version.

I don't think Kubota makes a loader that's not quick attach anymore.

Engine displacement IS different. 100 cubic inch for the L3400 111 cubic inch for the L3700.

Kubota's website specs lists them as both 111.4 cu. in., unless there's something I'm missing. Mind you, that's happened before, even earlier today in fact..:)

My L3400 brochure lists the L3400 at 100.5 cu. in. Kubota website lists the L3700 at 111.4 cubic inches.

I think there's been an engine change since your brochure was printed in 2006. My brochure is the same as yours except it's even older (2004). The US website lists both as being 111.4 cubic inch as opposed to the 100.5 of the older engine, which is still listed on the Canadian website as current.

Talk about confusion !!

The engine sticker on mine says the displacement is 1.8 litres, which works out to 112 cubic inches.

I wonder when they changed engines?? If I had to guess, I'd say 2009. According to the website, the bore stayed the same at 87 mm, but they stroked it from 92.4 mm to 102.4 mm. 87 x 92.4 mm is the same bore and stroke as the 4400, which has one more cylinder. Horsepower went from 34.7 to 35.7, and PTO HP increased by 1 to 30 on the gear drive model.

Mine has the "Xtra Power" decal, which I think was a 2009 thing. According to the media release, it was a 1 HP boost.

My dealer had sold the 3700 when I dropped in today, so I can't say if the seat is actually different. Something else odd, from what I've seen the 3700SU is supposed to be a tractor-loader package, yet the one I saw locally had no loader fitted. Might be a Canadian variation.

If you get a chance, have a look under the hood at your engine decal Jim. What year is your 3400? I'm curious now as to when they made the change.

I had read the 3700 was a package too, but even on the Kubota website, it is an attachment option. At this point, who knows?

make sure you guys are comparing the L3400-1 ("Extra Power") version. The old ones are long gone now.. and different. I think the L3400 and L3700 share the same engine. The "Extra Power" L3400 is not 34Hp.. as I recall is the same engine with a few features stripped off.

Will check mine out Chilly. It's an xtra power also. Jim

Just bought the L3700. It was only about $500 more than the L3400 without hydro trans. Had the extra hp and hydro trans. which is suppose to be standard with the L3700.

L3700 does not come with the draw bar (cost me an extra $100) and doesn't have the raised lettering on the decals. Paid $17800.00 before taxes.
I'm looking at an L3700 in the Phoenix area and am getting a quote of $22,000! I'd be interested in buying from a dealer out of state and shipping it to phoenix if I can get pricing in the $18,000 range. Can you please tell me the dealer with whom you purchased your L3700?
