Here’s a bit of a head scratcher.

We tend to run our M62 HST at medium either high/low (transmission on medium turtle/rabbit). Suddenly last week, at either setting, it feels like its running about 20% slower. At 1500rpm on level ground, its going about 6.5km/hr.

600 hours and everything else is working fine. All fluids are fine and full. All suggested maintenance has been done.

I’m wonder about something like the pedal-HST pot…any other thoughts? I'm under the impression that the HST in the tractor is controlled electrically, not by linkages.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Check that your brake lock is not engaged. On my L5030 it was and the indicator light did not show it.

The only other thing that come to mind is a partly plugged hydraulic filter but if it’s been cared for not likely.

Check the fuel and filters. Recently I had bad fuel for my tractor and while RPM's were ok, there was a drop in power which translated in poor performance. Turned out to be the contamination clogged the fuel filter.

Backhoe and loader power seem normal.

Brake not engaged.

Fuel filter changed recently.

Are your diverter valves fully out/in as appropriate (ie. BH on or off)?

Is your tranny/hydraulic fluid at the correct level?

Diverter valves are in the correct position.

Hydraulic fluid at the correct level.

Full power for the loader and backhoe.

Thanks

Did you ever resolve this issue, what did it end up being, good to know for anyone in the future who searches this issue, thanks.
