Couple of pics of the basement with the lights on.

I have several pics of the closets but everybody has seen a closet. If you want to see a pic of the closets let me know, its just a door going into a small room:D .

The house is looking great. I do like your kitchen and I have found that since I am single I look at kitchens a little different now. My old house I made the kitchen great. I had one counter where I kept the electric gridle for making pancakes and I had the pan for the mac and cheese either in the strainer or the stove:D

I see you installed under cabinet lighting...good choice. When I remodeled my Mom's kitchen she told me she didn't want it. I told her it was going in since we gutted the kitchen to the bare studs. She likes the under cabinet lighting.

I also noticed the orange work light that you must have gotten at Doh's (Lowe's). It's the same one I have. I just wish I could aim the lights downward like I can point them up at the ceiling; but the Chinese makers of it didn't feel that people would want to extend the tripod as high as it can go, and light a work table or other lower surface.

The house is looking good, and I thank you for documenting and sharing your experiences building it.

Continues to impress!!

If I missed a pic of it, please point me to it or if you could briefly describe (cause I know your busy!!) what you did for your under cabinet lighting. I know there are several options, just wondering which you chose and why!

Beautiful home!!

Looking great! I'm sure it has been covered in earlier posts, but is your fireplace a true woodburning fireplace? It looks like it is based on the firebrick lining. I am debating if I should install a real fireplace or a vented pr-fab with gas logs in my new house. I love the ability to burn wood if I want, but the additional cost of a real fireplace may be the kicker (us older retired folks become penny pinchers... ha ha!)
