Land Clearing to House Building...

If you don't mind me asking, how much property do you have there? Any good fishing in that river? Beautiful project.

We have 43ac where we are building. I have another 80ac 1/4 mile up the road.

I have never caught many fish out of the river, however there are some trout in there. I just have not had time to fish it much the last few years.

One thing we do have a lot of on the property is deer and turkey.

I thought nails might have something to do with it. I have enough tire problems without inviting more, so I definitely understand.

I hear ya. Those nails are not fun. I have had three flats this year!

The nail flat tires aren't as bad as the ones I have been having. Early spring, I was bush hogging the woods at the church and ran over an old rotten pine tree stump. The heart pine center was still solid, and went right thru the tire. Then two weeks ago I was mowing here, on the edge of my neighbors place and ran over a 3" tree with the front tire, pushing it to the ground. By the time the rear tire got to the rootball, one of the roots tore the sidewall completely out of the rear tire. I really have to be more careful!

I was able to get a couple of pics loaded last night.

The first pic is from the great room looking into the dinning room and kitchen. Where the big opening is we will have a large screened in deck/room.

The second pic is looking from the dinning room into the great room and front door.


We now have windows in, shingles on, basement poured, and most of the brick work done. I hope to load these pictures this weekend and post the progress.

It has been a while since I have been down. I really need to get down there in the next couple of weeks. I deal with a company that use to be called Schlumberger and is now called Itron.

When I would take the buyer out to lunch we would go to a little place in town called "The Steak House"; know of it? They have great fried chicken...I don't think they have steak .

This picture shows the plumbing in the basement before the pour. I decided to have it plumbed for a full bath incase I wanted to add one in the future.
