Around here the winters get a bit nippy. It was -17F last night. Not real cold, but starting to get nippy. The deer herd is reported to be at 1.7million to 1.9 million pre-hunt. The hunt takes out about 500,000 +/- 100,000 every year. If there was no hunting and a severe winter, many of the deer if not most of the deer would starve as they eat off the natural forage. Currently, deer are responsible for the decline and elimination of many plant species. (they eat them)
Is it more or less moral to kill an animal in 3 seconds with a bullet or arrow or over the course of 3 months by slow painful starvation? If you don't know the answer instantly, quit eating until next Friday and then post your answer.

I'm not convulsed with emotional trauma over this, but while I may "move on", the scam artist will not have learned anything. HE will just continue to repeat his behavior over again with a new land owner and new clients.
Think back to Sunday school. What are the two types of sins? Sins of Commission - the sins you commit thru your actions. And the other? Yes, you in far back row - Sins of Omission - sins where you failed to act when you should have.
My opinion is that our society has become too lazy. Physically lazy as shown by big guts and jiggling butts, intellectually lazy as shown by the vast hordes of ignorant people that send $10,000 to the King of Jujuballa so he can afford to send them $10,000,000 to invest. And lastly morally lazy where people allow scams to continue because it does not affect them. I'm attempting to be less lazy....

I have a friend that paid for a lottery tag for Big Horn Sheep in Washington state for 15 years.
He finally got his tag and was immediately offered $40k for the tag. Probably an offiter who could sell it for more. He wasn't about to sell it though and managed to get his Big Horn on day two.
As he was field dressing the animal at the bottom of a deep ravine, a father with two teenage boys came by to admire the animal. Needless to say, he was able to pack out the aniaml in one hump.
When he took it in to mount, the taxidermist said he could easily get $25k for the finished mount, but Butch wasn't selling the memory of a lifetime (he can't apply for any more tags). Apparently it's unusual to find a ram with full curls.
