Just wondering how leaves are looking in the more northern states ? Nothing prettier than pictures of Vermont covered bridges with the green mts. fall colors.Post pics if possible.:drink:

I'll have to get some pics today. Our only trees that change color - aspen, birch, alder - they are all brilliant yellow now. We never get the beautiful fall colors like back east with their mixed species hardwoods. Around my property and this area its almost 100% Ponderosa pine.

Hardly any evidence at all here in southern Maine. Only one or two trees are partially turning but they will be pretty in two weeks.

They are turning up here, not near peak yet but probably in another week. We had a little frost a few days ago and (finally) a little rain, which got things turning.

Starting to show a little change in color particularly in the higher elevation here. Swamp maples are showing quite good color in places.

Weird year here. Some trees are just starting to turn but some trees are losing all the leaves without showing color. It is still a bit early to tell.

Hints of red and yellow here but mostly still all green. We are starting to have cooler nights so it won’t be long.

My wife and I are at our camp in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. This picture was taken yesterday. Six days ago everything was green.

North of Montreal we are full of color at this time.
Yellow is predominant wherever birch is dense but lots of reds as well.
Very pretty.

The black gums (or tupelos) are always the first to turn color and drop. They turn red very briefly, then fall. Now the red maples and red oaks are starting to drop. I don't see much color; the leaves seem to be just drying up, turning black/brown and dropping right away.

Our colors are likely at there max here on the south shore of da BIG lake Superior. Here is some photos taken this weekend. We are clearing trails as seen in them. I should add that some tree species have dropped them.

My aspens at the cabin were in their peak around the 2nd and 3rd week of September. Now there all on the ground. This is at 9500ft.

Down here at the ranch, the trees are turned and the leaves will be down in a few weeks.

We get fall a lot earlier than others...

I wonder if the lack of color is because it has been a wet year. This has been a wet year for us and most trees go directly from green/brown then drop.
