leinbach disk

Hi guys dose any one have any experince with the heavy duty leinbach disk that is 6! 8" with the7.5 spacing of the blades how do they conpare to say the frontier brand or tsc brand thanks art

I have a Leinbach 300W 24-20 disc that I bought about 5 years ago. Not sure how that compares to what you are looking at. I pull it with a M 6800 Kubota. This is the only disc that I have ever used, so this is just my opinion. It works pretty good, not great. It could be heavier and more durable. I have broken 7 or 8 discs and bent the main shafts several times, but the land I disc is pretty rough and rocky. I would say that for the money, it is about as good as you could expect, probably better than a disc from Tractor Supply and about the same as a Frontier. An upgrade would be a Monroe or a Woods, but you get what you pay for. If I had to do it again, I would buy the heaviest one I could afford. It seems that weight determines price, and heavier is better, both in function and durability.

I also have a Leinbach and think they are very good quality for the money. I especially like the screw type of adjustment for the disk angles. That's a lot better than having to pound on the frame with a sledge like most other more expensive ones to make adjustments.

I have a 6 foot Leinbach. Use in very rocky Sierra foothills. Never broke a disc but have replaced 3 bearings in last 12 years. DG got into them. It's had a ruff life. Goes flying when I run over a granite outcropping. Only wish it were heavier. Have to add extra weight.
