That would be my last kubota....EVER... if the dealer would not do engine waranty work because I put lights (holes) on my ROPS!!!
...and then MY lawsuit would start!!!
There is no way they can get away with that anyways. I've read my manual and although it's not what they want you to do, they never specify the ROPS affects the waranty, maybe the ROPS waranty itself if it failed and you got hurt but not any other type of work the thing might need. Besides anybody could buy another ROPS and just put it on if they had too!
Like I said it's all with what you're comfortable doing!
