As to the angle .......just guessing, but maybe to avoid mailbox, low tree limbs, etc, since it benefits getting close without hitting higher objects above ground level and still grade close???? btw, very nice score.

linrick,'
the field is mine and is part of the farm I own and lease to a farmer. The straight rows? GPS my friend, GPS. The farmer has GPS on all of his tractors. It drives them and will make the rows nearly perfect even when following contoured land.
Yes we are flat here. I can see Lubbock 28 miles from me, from my front door. If I stand on the tailgate of my pickup, I can see another 30 miles or so. :)

Look at the name of the place I live.
Levelland TX Level land. Yep!

GPS? Isnt that cheating? I used to pick a tree on the other side of the field and drive as straight as I could.....of course it doesnt look like you can see the other side of the field so.....have a good one, Rick

All of the farmers here for the most part, are using GPS.
There's a field just north of me I need to take a picture of. It was bedded up last week and the rows for as far as you can see are straight as an arrow.

We don't have a lot of trees to home in on. :D

Sorry, I did not see that last part until now. Here is some good information that you can look at...

I use either Photoshop, if I want to do a "good" job, or I use ACDSee for quick and dirty stuff. Both cost $$$, BUT You can also use "Paint" that comes with MS Windows' based computers... Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, and look for the program "Paint". Please feel free to ask me any question on "how to" but I just like to open a photo, then "SAVE AS", and rename it to trash.jpg and start "playing" with it... (this is to keep the original in a safe condition.)
