The Land Pride PR16 series powered rakes (information found here ) appears to be the same rake as the Harley rake (information found here ). Are these two manufactured by the same company - in essence the same rake marketed as two different brands? If not, anyone have experience with both to say which is best?
Thanks,
Terry

I believe either one will do the job for you. If you are looking to put it behind your BX22 you may have a problem. They weigh a lot. The Harley is lighter by over 100 lbs.
I did research on Power Rakes to use behind my B2910.

It is real hard to tell much, if any, difference between the two, when I looked at them side by each at an equipment show.
The weight difference sounds important for the tractor.

I looked into renting a small harley rake for my BX. After looking at the attachment in person and talking to the rental place we determined it was out of the question for the size of the machine. Are you looking to attach this to your BX or do you have a larger machine to pull it with? Maybe you can make it work....

Anyone know what Harley rakes cost. They look like they would last a very long time.

The least expensive that I've seen was $5000.00.

Sorry I failed to mention that a larger tractor purchase is in my future - probably very soon and somewhere between a Kubota L3830 and a L5030 so the tractor should handle it easily. Two of the dealers I may purchase from carry Land Pride products, but not Harley. I would obviously like to include the power rake in the amount financed - just don't have $5k lying around to spend! I would hope to hire out a few jobs with it to help recoup the cost. Might even sell it after getting my 9-10 acres of rocky ground "de-rocked" and smoothed out. Thanks for any and all advice!

A year ago I bought a Pro6 on eBay for $4200. One other bidder bid it up $1000 in the last couple minutes or it would have been a really, really good buy. Just my luck.
Recently a nice Pro8 sold for under $4000 on eBay...an excellent price.
If you're not in a big hurry, occasional "deals" show up on eBay.
I believe Harley makes rakes for at least a couple name brand companies. Don't know if LandPride is one of them or not.
New Harley rakes run closer to $6000+ than $5000, I believe. Of course, the bigger rakes cost even more.

PS- Just checked the LandPride link and it says their PR-16 rake is designed and built by them.

I looked at buying and/or renting a harley rake to use on my tractor. Decided that it was too much money to spend for limited use (I'm not a landscaper) and when I figured in the additional rental cost for the time learning to use it, I hired the job out.

Figured it was about a break even proposition. Other than I was now on someone elses schedule and didn't get to play around. But the job was probably done better than I could do it.
