Update to thread. Dealer sent mobile mechanic down and looked it over and was pretty sure pumps are out. No flow, low pressure. before we drag it to their shop called kubota just to make sure there was no history of problems on these models. Kubota said they have had to replace pumps on early models. Both pumps. My unit is an early 08 model that sat on lot til I bought it last November. So maybe they had to update the pumps, not sure. So off to dealer tomorrow.

This is concerning news to me.. How do you determine the production date? Mine is out of warranty I cant even imagine how much it cost to replace these pumps..

Good question. Must be somewhere we can check the production date based on the Serial Number.

Mine has already been in the shop twice for hydraulic probelms with less than 100hrs easy hours on the clock. I am at 200 now and things have been running good but... Guess I just worry too much

I'm approaching 300 hours with no problems except breaking the top off of the loader joystick (replaced under warranty). I'm concerned because I would think it is from about the same build time as yours.

What kind of hydro problems?

Tractor was only weeks old when I noticed the FEL Curl boom was leaking by severly the Rep came out and looked at expecting it to be a slow/normal leak down observed how bad it was and told my dealer to repair it. Approximately 6 months later the main B/H boom would not retract the backhoe far enough back to engage the lock. Went back to dealer to replace that cylinder as well.

While those things are no fun ,atleast
It's not internal major failures. I have researched to n'th for failures of pumps on the m59 but found nothing.

Ok, back from taking machine to dealer. I talked to the guy who talked with kubota. He said they had a few that had to have both pumps replaced. Not a rash of them. But still yet why would both pumps go out on some units. They seem very willing to just replace pumps, no hassle. There was also some mention of a broken suction line at the inlet in the sump on some but didn't get too much info. They also had a m59 sitting, sitting so long the fenders are faded bad, the rubber floor Matt is sunburned. He said kubota will replace all faded metal and rubber Mat. And as of now they are fixing my machine, working up a price for me to to trade mine for the brand new one and pricing an extended warranty for mine. Not sure I want another 08. If it was an 09 or 10 I might.
You know kubota introduced this machine in 08 right when the construction market crashed so I suspect a lot of these units are sitting. Would love to know how many of these units out there are sold and racking up hard hours to construction companies. Most sold now are to rich hobby guys, not that there is any problem with that but I get no comparison to how these will hold up to my extended dig time, numerous 10' ditches in rocky soil in 90 degree temps. I put about 500hrs a year digging and it's mostly in summer. I really like this thing and can't afford another full sized machine yet so fingers are crossed.
