That looks pretty cool. Do you have that? I have one grease gun set up with an old school coupler and one set up with a locnlube. I like the latter but I agree there are situations where it won’t fit.
I'm doing the same i have 1 gun setup with the locnlube and 1 with extra long hard piping with the side fitting, with that i can get to those fittings that point at a hard point (like one on the FEL lift cylinder) and some under the tractor when im too lazy to crawl on the ground i can just bend over and use the long hard tube to reach under and engage the fitting from the side (if that makes any since). it works good, slides on and pops into place, you just have to be close to a right angle to the fitting.

I think the ultimate solution is a grease butler named something like Mr. Smythe:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:. But I’ve had to reduce my personal staff due to inflation and the “transitory inflation”.

its "transitory" because it is transitioning to my wallet.

Got the Piranha Bar installed this evening, then tried it out for an hour or so. I like it a lot! I'd never used a tooth bar on a tractor before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But, I think it works very well. I agree that my 5155 has good digging capability without the tooth bar. But, to test it out I dug in to a high spot on my landing that I had been previously unsuccessful at excavating due to the density of stumps and roots. With the Piranha bar, the bucket sliced right through roots that would've normally hung up on the cutting edge. I successfully flattened the high spot and dumped the material into a large stump hole I had been meaning to fill. I also tried digging in to a bank of natural shale and granulated bed rock, the bucket most definitely scoops that stuff with more ease.

Install was pretty easy, just one 3/4" hole on each end (side) of the bucket to secure a bolt through. I used a mallet and a piece of firewood to pound the tooth bar snuggly onto the cutting edge, then installed the bolts. As shown in one of the attached photos, the Piranha bar doesn't extend far enough under the bucket to fully utilize the pre-drilled holes. However, the design of the wedges seem to hold it firmly in place on the cutting edge. If I have issues with it separating from the cutting edge, I'll find a way to better attach it.

Looks good Walt! Looks to fit the bucket perfectly. I think I’ll eventually get some sort of tooth bar since I do think it helps in digging especially in rocky soil like I have. But the finance department says that more tractor goodies aren’t in the budget right now unfortunately.

Walt...looks like a perfect fit. Do you recall what width you ordered. I can check that against my bucket width. Hopefully the same. Thanks

Thank you, Andy! Yes, fit very well. And I know what you mean, tractor parts/tools/accessories add up very quickly these days... Just for reference this tooth bar was $401, plus $50 shipping to Maine.

Which reminds me, I've been meaning to tell you. I looked into ordering some Schaeffer's 315 Simplex Supreme hydraulic fluid the other day, as my 5155 is nearing the 50 hr. mark at 42 hrs. Seems to be nationally out of stock/backordered until further notice, which is disappointing. I looked into ordering some about a month ago and it was readily available at that time... Sucks.

I ended up ordering 15 gallons of AMSOIL THF. I compared the data sheets, and found the properties of Schaeffer's oil was slightly better than AMSOIL, but not by much. I believe Schaeffer's had a pour point of -52*F vs. -47*F from AMSOIL. I guess I can live with that since the AMSOIL was readily available, although it was more expensive.

If you happen order AMSOIL, do it straight from their product site. The price is similar wherever you get it from, but if you order it from AMSOIL you have the option of buying a 6 month "Prefered Customer" account for $10. Doing that saved me over $200 on the 15 gallons of oil. So, definitely worth it.

I do! 77.75", and I believe it is the perfect width. The sides of our buckets are slightly tapered towards to rear, so as the tooth bar is wedged onto the cutting edge, the mounting tabs bend slightly inwards, putting spring tension on the tabs and keeping the bar firmly in place.

One difference I have noticed between the Piranha Bar and EA's Wicked Tooth Bar, is that with EA you give them 3 separate dimensions, including the inside width of the bucket and total width of the cutting edge. So, the bars they build extend fully to the edge of the bucket's original cutting edge.

With Piranha Bar, you only give them the inside width. Still a quality product for sure, but the cutting edge of the tooth bar is slightly shorter than the cutting edge of the bucket, since that dimension wasn't taken into account for them, you get what you get. My biggest reason for ordering Piranha over EA was simply EA's shipping policy, they won't ship anything to Maine, due to tax reasons I was told. My only option for having the Wicked Bar shipped to me was to drive to a FedEx shipping hub in NH (about 2.5 hrs. away) and pick it up.

Walt thanks for the pricing on the tooth bar. That seems reasonable all things considered for a quality product. And yea that’s a bummer on the Schaeffer’s. I say that because I’ve used it in my other tractors and have about 3 gallons l ft from when I switched my little Yanmar to it. So I was going to get 2 five gallon bucket’s of it and that would have been enough for the Mahindra. I use many Amsoil products and actually use their motor oil in my tractors. I have enough of that on my shelf for a couple oil changes. I think I’ll stop at my NAPA store Friday (vacation day) and see if they have any idea when the Schaeffer’s might be available. I had actually looked at that same exact Amsoil tractor fluid when I wanted to go synthetic. But landed on the Schaeffer’s based on price and nearly identical specs. So yeah I’ve done the preferred customer thing with them and I’m sure I’ll renew that for my next buy. If the Simplex Supreme isn’t going to be available for an extended time, I’ll likely go with the Amsoil product. They’re both top notch.

Walt...thank you for the info on the Piranha and also why you chose it over EA. VERY helpful! The EA is about 50% more in cost. My bucket is also 77.75". Very interesting about the EA shipping policy.

Yes I have 1 gun set up with that on it and a second with the locnlube. I like both and they complement each other the main diff is that the locnlube with their grease gun set me back $100 while the other setup was only about 45
