I wonder if anyone could help with this issue. When I attach my vertical log splitter to my 135 with the arms in the lowest position, I am finding that under load when splitting the logs, the arms are slowly lifting upwards which then makes it awkward to put logs onto the base of the splitter to split the logs.

Perhaps Im being completely stupid and not operating it right, but ive had no issues operating my chipper which also has hydraulics :confused2:.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If your log splitter valve is in series with the hyd flow including the 3pt, you still have flow to the 3pt and if the 3pt is not centered, it will move accordingly.

If the 3pt is in neutral, the hyd flow should just pass through the valve with no action.

To have flow to the splitter, you must have the draft lever pulled all the way back. The position lever has to be pulled back to the constant pumping position. This will lift the three point unless you have the massey two spool valve mounted between your legs in front of the seat or a diverter valve in its place. If you have the two spool valve the left lever operates the three point, center this lever and it will isolate the three point from hydraulic flow or add a diverter valve in place of the rectangular cover in front of the seat. One position wiii operate the three point, the other outlets can be hooked to a loader valve, your splitter or other hydraulic accessories.

Many thanks for both the replies. I was operating with both the Position lever to the constant pumping position and the draft lever to the upright position. I have a rear mounted spool that pipes into the right hand side of the two spool valve under the seat ( still leaves the two spools empty, but uses what was a blanked off spool next to the right hand one ). I think that I had the lever to the right rather than the centre. Maybe this is what the issue is.....I will give it a go in the centre position.....
