I to have had this cold start issue with my max28 hst. Sits in a barn but if it is below freezing it just does not want to start. I bought a magnetic heater to put on the oil pan and in about 10 minutes it starts right up. There must be an issue if some do not have this problem. Please post an update if the dealer fixes the hard start.
Thanks,

Please post what your dealer did to solve the issue. I just spoke to my DSR and he said the GPs should come back on when you are cranking.

I certainly will share what the problem was and its resolution. I just hope we don't get hit too hard with snow Friday.

It was a balmy 37F tonight in NH, so I decided it was a good time to load it up for the dealer visit Saturday.
The Max started right up. I had the throttle on full, used 2 glow plug cycles and it caught right away.
I used the Max to dig out the trailer and pull it out so I could load.
I had to drop the BB from the quick hitch and shoveled the 6" of wet snow out the back of the trailer.
I had no trouble slipping on the wet steel ramps and was able to get the Max28 loaded. I left the counter weight and quick hitch on the 3 Pt. With the front guard on the Max the rear tires are near the edge of the load floor of the little cut off horse trailer. I need to secure the tractor well!

Yeah the Max28 starts up easy in this weather. It was just below freezing and the engine turned over about 3 times and started. I brought it to Knoxland Equipment today. I hope it gets very cold next week. I'll pick it up next Saturday. They have some inventory now. I never realized there was such a weight difference between the 25XX and 35XX series Mahindra's.

Tommorow I give my 2003 Cobra a good car wash and do some barn cleaning. Wierd for January!

Report from dealer that there is nothing wrong with the MAx28's GP, GP Relay or fuel cutoof solinoid.
Service manager said only on the newer Tier 4 Max 26 models does the GP light Blink after 30 Seconds.
So why is tthe above stated in the Max28 Instruction manual?

Bringing Tractor Home Saturday.

Dealer suggested a $300 Block heater.

Mike you may want to look at installing a lower radiator hose heater. it's an easy install. I've had mine in for a couple of weeks and my Max starts right up in the cold weather. Part was about $40 at the automotive store.
