I have a 231S with a Koyker 210 FEL with the large(2.5") cylinders and have a difficult time with the hydraulics operating the thing with any speed. Also, I can't pick up the front end of the tractor with the FEL. Do I have a problem with the hydraulic system or is the FEL to large and heavy for the 231? BTW the bucket is 72".

That is a pretty large loader. It is larger than I would want if it was my tractor. The larger the cylinders the slower that it will go up. That loader is a recommended loader for the 231. They show that you can use a model 160 with 1.75" cylinders, a model 160 with 2" cylinders, a model 210 with 2" cylinders or a 210 with 2.5" cylinders. I think that the 2" cylinders would have worked better for your tractor. The 231s does have some type of optional higher flow pump. I don't know if it replaces the existing pump or if it is added in addition to the standard pump.

Another thing the 210 with the 2.5" cylinders is rated for 15 gpm of hydraulic flow. The 210 with 2" cylinders is rated for 10 gpm.

Thanks for all the information. I guess I will live with the situation or maybe try to swap out the 2.5" cylinders for the 2" cylinders.
