I知 sorry, I知 not good at this. This morning I receive a e mail with a post where someone said something about how A/C and TV are changing the culture.
You got that right.
In an interview the Mayor? Of Singapore was asked, to what do you attribute your countries? success? He said, air conditioning.
Not sure if it was Singapore or if it痴 even a country and , honestly, don稚 care. Without A/C you cannot cram that many people that close, might even get a virus or something.
As far as TV. It defines our culture and, imho, it痴 horrible. 90% is soft ****. Did you know women spend 90% of the disposable income in America? Guess who all that soft **** is aimed at. Think daytime TV.
I bet some of you are Larry McMurtry fans? Most my buddies who still read books rave about him. I致e never read any, quit non fiction 20 years ago but, I did see the last picture show.
Larry has a son, James McMurtry. He痴 a genius, imho. Singer song writer, been on the road, 40 years, playing little bars etc, tuff life.
Regarding sitting on the porch, no TV etc. In a song named after a Texas town, levelland He has a verse that goes.....
Momma used to curl her hair
Back before the central air
Weed sit out side and watch the stars at nite
Sheed tell me to make a wish
I wish we both could fly
Don稚 think she痴 seen the sky
Since we got the satellite dish
As any good lawyer will tell you, it is what it is.
