What'd you do, put the 1 1/4 adapter in place of the stock round drawbar and then use the extender in it?

Yes sir. :)

I've never welded in my life. Thus, no talent ... yet in the matter. Your work is clean and useful. I took the EZ way out.

Me Either about welding. Only reason I can is I had to learn to do some simple things. I done this a few yrs. back just in case which after doing it works really well. Only had to use a few times. I have large trailer I use it for if I had to. I don't want to bolt to my Rear end. So I don't want to bust my housing. Plus with the HF. elcheapo Receiver.. I can easily hook the small garden trailer to the loop also. I use it the most. Those are two Sear mower blades I think. 🤨 Hey!! it's ugly but works great.

Nice work.

Not all H-F products are cheap quality. In fact, there are nearly 15,000 posts right here on this forum about the quality ones H-F does offer. ;)

Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

Before the H-F ext. hitch, the Reese one I had broke. I wasn't going to spend money on a Reese replacement at 3X the price of a H-F clone at the time. In fact, I'm really impressed to tow 12,000-lbs 20ftx8ft enclosed travel trailers loaded to the max with the H-F setup. Only the RAM Hemi 2500 or the Sierra Z71 can move these trailers. The YM2610 with the H-F setup can as well. Nothing else can move these trailers around on the farm needing the raw power and lower gear set.

Now I understand why the extended draw bar. The running gear on the farm wagon I built has an extended hitch. Prevents wagon contact with rear tires. Still learning - how to back up with steerable front wheels. Ten ton - 8'x12' deck.

Cheap may be a good thing Esp. $ wise... Here you go!! Elcheapo all the way but I'm good with it when this was all it cost me. I got plenty out of that mower blade also. Can't complain ...... ATV Hitch Adapter

I took this picture to illustrate the removable pins, but it also shows the tow bar that has the trailer ball. (just out of the picture frame). The little straps at each end, bolted on and removable, prevent the tow bar from revolving. Each strap is welded to Cat 1/2 adapter sleeves to make a tight fit in the hooks.

This is all I need for towing the 2500 lb watering trailer all over the orchard.

Definately nothing wrong with that setup for that use... I actually have one of those for my case 444 in a cat 0 variety but not comfortable w it for this job tho... I'm hauling people including children on a small light trailer up and down hills.... would hate to dump them out because they unexpectedly moved to the back and made my lift arms suddenly go up
