First time poster. I apologize if this is in the wrong place. I have a TeleMount style Moffett with the telescoping boom with forks rather than the common vertical fork carriage seen on 98% of piggyback lifts. I need a main lift cylinder for the boom and I feel certain there is an abandoned machine sitting somewhere that the owner would sell some parts off of. If anyone knows of this type machine sitting around please let me know.
Moffett produced/sold these up until 2015 or so I believe. Thanks

You could try a local hydraulic shop for repair or replacement of your existing cylinder.

Thanks. I wish it were so easy. The issue is with a leaking valve block welded to the barrel of the cylinder. The cylinder operates fine but the block has rusted severely in one spot. The hydraulic lines connect to the side of the block and solid lines exit top and bottom to actually feed the cylinder, there is a solenoid on top of the block which I suspect is a safety to prevent collapse of boom to the ground if a hose or something blows out. In addition there are a couple of things that look like pressure adjusting valves , one on top and one on bottom of the block. The block is part of the cylinder in eyes of OEM parts department. If I can figure out how to attach a photo I will.

So the second picture it appears welding has been done around the base of the block that holds the solenoid. Is the leak at the welded block or the valve and associated connectors?

The allen heads on the face of the valve block indicate it should be removable, but the welding may have been an attempt to stop a leak in that connection,

If the allen heads and the block can be removed and put new orings on all the connections and solenoid that would be first. Otherwise likely need to remove the cylinder and cut that off and figure it out from there.

Do you know where leak is coming from? Agree with @Carl_NH that it is just orings and the block may have been welded later. The allen head plugs may be just that, plugging machined ports when the block was made. Random weld on the block looks like a possible source. Disassembling the reliefs, hoses and plugs to reseal and vlean up the weld is doable at a good shop.

Yes, it does look like it was made as one. Hard to imagine why they did it but there it is. Did you try googling the numbers on the valve? Get an idea of what it looks like by itself without the ugly welds. I’d take it in to a good repair shop and let them take a look. From the picture, the weld looks porous and may just “pop off” with help of a chisel and hammer. Repairing it properly and testing will be the hard part.
