I have been on the search for a multi function inverter welder

Anyone have a multi function inverter welder that will burn a 6010 & 6011 rod ?

All the ones I have looked at state no 6010, or 6011

Yes, if you mean stick/tig.
ESAB 161.
Thermal Arc 161
Lincoln Invertec v250-s, v275, 300, 350 pro.

If you mean mig, tig, stick. There are machines that burn 6011 just fine.

If it will burn 6013 and 7018, no reason it shouldn't burn 6011.

Some machine specify no 6010, but yes to 6011.

In my opinion., a machine that won't light 6011 is designed wrong or broken.

Btw, the ESAB Rebel EMP 215ic is advertised as running 6010. I'm sure there are others.

looking for something that will tig ac/dc and stick. I called AHP and eastwood. they said 6013 ok. 6010 /6011 no go..also read something about the lincoln (don't remember the model) wouldn't burn 6010 or 6011.

I saw some u tube vids where a machine would light a 6011 but it wouldn't stay lit

Pretty sure my Lincoln MP 210 will burn both, has 60xx and 70xx on the stick menu. Ran some 6013 and 7018 just fine, don't use 6011 much, too much spatter.

Just check the Open Circuit Voltage ( OCV ) of whatever machine you're looking at. If it's 80 +- a little it will run 6010. Most are much lower. If the OCV is too high the machine will often need Voltage Reduction Device ( VRD ) To reduce the voltage at the outputs. This feature has a cost tied to it and most opt not to include it so they just make a machine that has a low OCV and do not do well on 6010. Read up on it. It's something everyone should know about in the name of safety.

My Miller 215 runs 6011 but not 6010. Its a nice machine. Esab has a new machine coming out that does ac/DC tig but is out of my price range.

The Lincoln square wave 200 AC/DC tig/stick specifically lists 7018 and 6011.

The Harbor Freight clone is likely the same.

My Miller XMT and Maxtron will handle 6010

The Maxstar 6011 only

My Thermal Arc 6011, yes. Never tried 6010 but if I had to guess, not.

They have pushed and pushed the release date back. They are claiming October now. I would imagine in time for SEMA, which ironically is the show they announced and even demo'ed the product last year originally citing a early second qtr release date.

They are still claiming the first all in one welder package. Everlast has been delivering their all in one AC/DC TIG< MIG< Stick units since late june, early July by the hundreds and thousands. Even before ESAB's announcement. But ESAB apparently hasn't gotten the memo.

that thermal arc 161 will run a 6010 pretty good until you push it really hard into an open root groove joint then it takes some skill to keep it going. lots of inverters will run 6010 just fine on either polarity
