Suggestions on how to determine what my 2013 B3200 would sell for? I'm at 136 hours on the clock. Stored indoors, like new. I also have a few Cat 1 implements, that I might consider selling with the unit, since the MX is Cat 2...

/ MX Series Pricing? #24
You probably already know this but the MX is Cat 1 and 2. It will come with cat1 top link and cat2 lift arms. I think most of us mostly run cat1 implements with reducer bushings in the lift arms (except for special equipment that needs to be cat 2).

Thank you for pointing that out! Somehow I never saw that, so I'm glad you said something. I was not looking forward to needing new implements. Everything would be too narrow, but that might be okay for now.

My dealer rarely has an MX, but said one might be coming in for scheduled maintenance in a few weeks if I want to look at it.

No problem man!

Width and strength will be important to consider. Many implements that were fine with your b3200 will quickly be destroyed by a properly ballasted MX. :drink:

So far, my implements are pretty short. I've got a nice Woods (4 wheel) finishing mower. That is only 72". Now having owned the property and equipment now, I'd like to just get a fail mower or maybe a chopper. I have a pond that I can't remotely get close to - boom mower would be nice but I'd be better off paying one of the local guys to drive around the pond once or twice a year. They work quick and charge less than $100/hr.

72" blade for snow / leveling dirt and a Kubota 300lb ballast box

My MX5100 is way stronger, better balanced and with more usable HP than my L4300. I have a B7800 that is puny compared to the MX5100. To compare an MX with a B3300 will be like comparing a Ford F100 to a Ford F600 with 4wd. Not even a comparison. In my view, the MX5100 --and MX series in general-- is one of the best tractors Kubota ever built.

If your implements we're properly sized to your B....figure on getting new implements. They are too small and too weak to hold up.

I got the okay from the boss on the MX - assuming I sell the B3200 first - fair enough.

I just would hate to stick it out there and not get much for it. Tractor House has a few listed but with more hours and older machines. Plus, that's the asking price. I could put it on CL, I just hate the tire kickers, especially out in the country. I always get nervous about someone "taking a look" and then find the barn broken into during the night a few days later. With other items in the past, I make it obvious that I'm taking a picture of their vehicle, plates and them whenever someone comes over that I don't know. *knock on wood* it's worked so far.

300 pounds is too little rear ballast for the MX. Even with loaded rears, you'll want at least 1000 pounds of rear ballast.

I've sold a few items on Craigslist but it's a pain putting up with the tire kickers. If you have a decent dealer they may do a consignment sale for you. I realize that this is not he best option for some but it is an option. Around here we have Godley Auction in Charlotte that runs a monthly sale. Don't know if you have anything close to you like that or not. Just a couple of options to consider. Good luck. The MX is a fine tractor.

I let the dealer know that I would get the MX if I could get a decent price for the B3200 - so I'm waiting to see if he offers anything, but I'm not expecting much. I might try Craigslist...

Do you find it better to sell the tractor with implements or separate them out?

They call it a package "deal" for a reason.

And thats because as a package, the buyer usually pays less than buying everything separate.

The benefit to the seller is the convenience of dealing with ONE buyer and ONE transaction rather than many, and usually a quicker sell.

So, what is your definition of "better"? If by better means you want maximum dollar.....then separate. If by better you mean a quick sell for reasonable dollar and a one-and-done type deal.....then sell together

You can sell it on Craigslist if you have a thick skin and street smarts. When the guy asks if I'll take half, I just say "no". No explanation needed because they aren't serious anyway. When the same guy asks what I would take I say that I prefer to price honestly rather than play games. They aren't serious either.

When they ask for directions and say they will come out, possibly, on Thursday, I say to give me a phone number and I'll call them right back. I do not give mine first and no phone number means they aren't serious either. I call them with general directions and when you get a phone number, that's a nibble. I don't give an address but rather the address of the church across the road and to call just before they get there. I have never, ever, had a problem this way.

Your equipment should look perfect and preferably wiped clean as a whistle. If you drilled holes in the dash from some mod, now is when you pay the piper so figure out a way to cover it up or at least look better. Detail everything and let the Kubota sell itself because they can and do. Just rid yourself of the Craigslist losers and it can actually be a not unpleasant process. Just don't even have a conversation with demoralizing people because they aren't really interested anyway.

I have a nearly 100% success rate of selling on Craigslist and while the method may be irritating to some here, it works for me and saves my time from dealing with losers. I may lose a winner every now and then but the time and energy saved makes up for it. Everyone serious knows the Craigslist issues and serious people are OK with the process.

Sell everything separate.

My dealer just offered $12,700 for the B3200 and loader, sight unseen over email. Said he would list it for $14,700 on his lot.

I honestly don't have a clue what the tractor is worth. I think it was around $18k new with the loader. Purchased in 2013 and just under 136 hours. I'm very OCD with my equipment, so it's like new. Obviously I could get more for it selling it to a private party. Not sure what they are (actually) selling for used though.

2013 and 136 hours with OCD are good selling points. You could prob get more trying to sell on your own and using his $$ as a mental "stop" failsafe price.
