I had heard it both ways before i purchased. It won't lift that. or It'll lift that no sweat. The "that" in question is 2000lbs of heating pellets. I have 5 tons delivered every year and was tired of manually humping them into my garage with the pallet jack or even worse having to unload by hand because the entry to my garage is very unlevel and sometimes the pallet jack hangs up. I'm very happy to report the MX5100 made short work of the ton we had delivered last night for our first fire. The rear tires aren't loaded but I did have the backhoe attached. No drama, no strain, nothing. I had heard from so many people it wouldn't do it I was really afraid it wouldn't. You know what they say.....

It was freezing out last night so I didn't really play around with height or anything, more of a get them inside and get the fire going kinda deal. When the other 4 tons come I'll see if I can't load and unload one from my truck bed etc.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Nice, and with Ag/R1 tires too it looks like. How high was the pallet when you lifted it off the truck or trailer?

They were already on the ground when I got there. Like I said next time I'm going to see about getting them on and off my truck, I didn't want to mess with these it was too cold and they also weren't wrapped to the pallet at all so it would've been sketchy.

You would be hard pressed to find anyone disappointed with a MX, its a nice affordable and reliable unit

We get about 2 tons of pellets per year. We put them toward the front of our garage, so they are packed by hand, by me. My JD 2720 won't lift a ton, but my neighbor's JD4xxxx does just fine, but it won't fit in the garage. Oh well, sitting at a computer all day for work, lifting 4k lbs 40 lbs at a time is good, much needed, exercise! :)

What kind of pellet stove do you have?

Nice! I love it when a good tool does its job!

How was the curl power on it? I usually run out of curling power before I do lifting power.

I have no idea how much this beast weighed, but it put my JD 553 loader to the test. And I'm glad I had my 600lb BB on the back with the rears loaded, because I was teetering all the way to the woods with this thing. Then again, I could not pull it up close to the pivot, so most of the mass was a couple feet out - making it tougher on the FEL.

That's a whole lotta stump brother. The curl was awesome. It curled it no problem, however I couldn't curl it real far because of the bags being loose on the pallet. As I read the specs the curl is supposed to be the strongest part of the loader I thought?!?!

That's what my manual says, too. But I ran out of rollback before I ran out of lift. Weird. Like I said, presumably because the mass of the stump was a good ways out from the pivot.

Anyway... I love the MX5100. That thing really is a little beast! Happy for you to have a strong little ox like that to get some timesaving into your usual jobs! :thumbsup:

Huh, that's really interesting. It should be just as bad lifting that far out. regardless that's awesome it handled it no problem looks like a helluva machine! I got really lucky if I had gotten something even an inch taller it wouldn't have fit in my garage. As it is i have to have the rops down to pull it in and out and it still hits on the door but just barely.

I can see that from the pic, ha! Tight fit!

It's the same thing with me for my UTV. Glad I bought a JD Gator over a Polaris Ranger as the Gator is not as wide. I've already been in a few situations where the Ranger would not have made it through something the Gator did.
