I cut all 3 of them completely off today & it's a lot better :D

I haven’t looked at mine. Is it possible to just remove them so they can be re-installed?

Yes Sir, their bolted on across the back of deck on the ZD mowers.
I think the F series mower decks has metal shields bolted on instead of rubber.

Good deal. If we ever start getting rain again ........ I may remove mine for a trial.

Are you seeing any increase in clippings getting to your radiator?

This has been the wettest summer ever here in North Ga.
I mow 3r4 evenings a week weather permitting, then it's time to start all over.

The clippings shoots out the back now & don't linger around getting sucked up into Radiator Draft :D
It helps my radiator stay clean much longer.

I envy your rain. I’m still just 19” for entire year and virtually zero since early July.

We've gotten 38" this year so far, but normally it's closer to your 19" because we rarely get much from May thru August.

Did you ever remove them? I hate the windrowing that my 72'' RD leaves... on the front yard

I first cut the rubber flaps off, then unbolted & removed them later.
Flipped the metal guards upside down & bolted them back on w/o rubber flaps.
It made a huge difference dispersing clippings a lot more evenly.

BD ..... I'm wondering if you see any difference in clippings clogging of the radiator screen, after you removed your flaps.

I can actually mow a little longer before having to stop, dump screen & clean radiator out.

I’d guess I can mow 3hrs or so before it starts running Hot.
