I'll try to get a hold of some 1/2 plate tonight and look into going the side mount route. I sure wanted to just buy a mount and bolt it on. The older I get.....the more time is of value...and I'm not that old. LOL
Showed your picture of the front timing cover to a guy that has worked up fitting Cummins engines for over 25 years and it had him scratching his head. Said he would see what he could find. We both thought it looked similar to a marine application engine. Stay tuned.
This looks like it's going to be interesting! If the bolt holes on the mount that is close to fitting line up I would just grind away the cast iron until it fits. This is all within reason of course but by your pictures it wouldn't take much grinding and the bracket would fit.
This should be the dimensions for the holes in the front of the block. Sorry I can't supply more data than this, but I hope it will help. Good luck!
Double checked the print, and 23mm is the call out. Is it possible Cummins had a proprietary block for Case? Check the mounts you have to see if they match up.I'm assuming the "23mm" measurement in the drawings is supposed to be 11.5mm? Something is not correct there.
