I'm working on a 3316HST deal with a dealer in AR. The backhoe has been ordered and hopefully will get installed on the tractor and then hit the road to my house by the end of next week.

Gotta love this emblem:

What model backhoe are you having put on it ? Mine has the 3716 . I am pleased with my tractor except for a small leak in the rear where the hubs bolts on to the transmission . I mentioned it to my dealer and they are going to fix it . They tell me it could take around 4 hrs . Great people to deal with . I think the gasket is only a liquid material in a tube . Only problem is I am 400 miles away and the weather .

The tractor is now on the driveway! The BH is a 3720B unit. I need to find some videos of how to detach that unit from the tractor one of these days.

Back hoe owners manual should tell just what to do. ;)

Basically it is a matter of start up the tractor then:

Put the bucket down.
Put the feet down barely.
There is a pinion pin on each side at the bottom of the the backhoe. Pull those.
Lift the backhoe above the height of those hooks.
Pull the tractor froward and then turn it off.
Disconnect the hydraulic lines. One of the hydraulic lines on the goes back into the top hydraulic fitting.

You should be good to go. :drink:

Check on the youtube video.

I've been looking but found none so far. When the documents get here, I'll read up on everything. I was merely curious, that's all. It doesn't look too bad actually. The 1702B unit seems to be different than the 485 BH unit.

alia176 I got a paper manual with mine but I think a video would be better . I have been looking for a video as well but can't seem to find anything . Mine is the older version that the subframe comes off with the backhoe . The one you have would be easier to take off and put on I would think . On yours I think the subframe stays on the tractor . I haven't tried to remove mine yet .

Congratulations Alia176 on the purchase of your new tractor. I also have the 3720 backhoe on my tractor. The manual explains the procedure of mounting and the dismounting quite well. The only extra advise I can provide is to make sure that prior to disconnecting the quick connects, that you move the levers in all directions to release the pressure, or you will have much difficulty re-attaching them.

Thank you, its been a nice mid life crisis present to myself indeed. The BH has been detached and I'm already coming up with a better hose detachment solution!
