Need to design a Dance Floor

I saw "design a dance floor" and had to check it out because this subject doesn't come up here very often (first time today!!!) Not trying to steal your thread and this won't work for you, but I'll just pass this along just as a point of interest, in case somebody else sees the thread and is building a permanent dance floor. About 50 yrs ago a neighbor in his 80's then, had built many dance halls in upstate NY and they used poplar for the floor joists because when dry, it's very springy and a good square dance would really get the floor bouncing. I can personally attest to that fact at the Matteson Hotel in Cedarville. NY that he built. As a young buck I spent many a Saturday nights there and it bounced so much that one could barely navigate. ----especially when well oiled from the bar downstairs!!! --- It was really bad when some of those bridezillas you mentioned got going in unison.

Tried to post this but looks like it didnt go through....what about a sandwitch of ply..With bottom offset a few inches or a foot or so..build this upside down the area of the lower section that goes over to the "new" group cut holes with a hole saw....then use pucks cut out and bond to "new"group.the pucks would/should keep it from walking apart...I Think..What do y'all think?
