I can't remember the store or details anymore, but about 30 years ago, there was a big lawsuit over a store chain that would advertise sale items to get people into the store, and then "somehow" never have that item in stock.

"Oh well, you're here now... you might as well buy some other stuff at full price!"

just last week our electric utility came onto my property and cut all trees within 15 ft of the power lines. its ok by me, i wouldnt want a tree to fall on lines. they limbed them all up and left the wood on my side of the fence. they took all the branches. i now have 3-4 years of firewood.......

man, theres a lot of trees to process.

had to purchase a grapple to haul the stuff.

here, no one cares if a tree hits fence, the owner just cuts and moves the junk.

My other farmer/friend I called & we went over looking at it. He & I will work on it later...he believes with his large tractor we can strap it up high, "throw the fuel & oil to it" and we can pull it on over...peeling what's left up high "like a banana".
I'll try remember take my phone/camera & report back.

I would not do that. Stripping bark will damage the tree, unlike sawing the limb at the bole. If your neighbor gets nasty about this, he could sue you for damages.

I've been piddling with it. I got a tow strap on it, on truck hitch and it just snapped the strap!
After checking more I'm thinking it's hickory.

I would not do that. Stripping bark will damage the tree, unlike sawing the limb at the bole. If your neighbor gets nasty about this, he could sue you for damages.
