SUP all,

Kinda new cause I have not bought a BX25 yet but if my local dealer gets his pricing in line I will pull the trigger. My first question is when do the new models usually come out? I do not want to buy and 1 month later see a new model that is "better" is available. Any info is much appreciated and THANK YOU in advance...

I just read in another post that 2012 Model year BX25's are NOT happening due to issues in Japan. Can anyone authoratatively second and confirm this rumor please?

tractors really dont have model #s.if your dealer has what you want on the lot then its either a leftover 2010 or a 2011.tractors change years when the lot sells all they have.also if they have a new older tractor on the lot they are more willing to deal to move it.

um.. no. There have been no issues because of what happened in Japan. There is no such thing as a model year, they just build tractors until the model gets stale.

My understanding is exactly this. No model "year" per se. Date of put into service is about one gets, really. They aren't automobiles and are treated as such.

Most manufacturers have product cycle schedules. Every 5 years honda completely does a redo of their vans, but every 4 years for some of their cars. Microsoft is on a 3 year cycle with all of their products. And virtually all manufactuerers stagger those cycles so something is always new every year.

Beginning of this year Kubota's GR series of 4wd lawn mowers were redone with new model number. Because the BX numbers have been the same for a few years - chances are good a "70s" series is just around the corner for 2012 - maybe incorporating their new 25 horse engine into the lineup. I also wouldn't be surprised to see an LP/NG product, as many government purchasing requirements have incentive bid points for products deemed "enviromentally classified".

Popular products in the bx and b lines will likely adapt products to broaden their markets as other similar companies have already done.

Change isn't just inevitable, its required in a tough economic environment.

Coming soon to a dealer near you, the ZP330P-60 or ZP330LP-72! From Kubota, a 31hp LPG fueled zero turn mower.

Looks like I found a 2011 year motor BX25 on a showroom floor. A little farther away then my closeset dealer but it is "clean" . The one at my close dealer has a motor dated 2010, the tractor is scratched and finger-nail paint repaired, headlights are rusting, steering wheel is faded, all hose caps are faded, it looks liek it has been sitting outside for a year... "I" want to eff my tractor up, not buy one already trashed...and there was no break in the price!
I feel bad for the salesman, I wanted to give him the order but ain't gonna happen.

I am seriosly thinking about the following:
All Implements are to come from land Pride painted Kubota Orange.

RB05 Rear Blade 48"

DH10 Disc harrow 48"

BB05 Box Scraper 48"

RTR05 Tiller 42"

Another gent on this board suggested I go w/ a 60" rear blade cause when it is angled your down to 48 or so...

It is a small tractor, I think I want to stay w/ small implements and maybe some day, when we get out of dodge, and buy that piece of acerage get a big boy tractor! HA!

I have a small 1/3 acre but the tractor, here, is primarilly for digging in my business and I hope to farm myself and the BX25 out to the many many clients I run into. I see so many old stumps and things that need ot be done on peoples propertys...I betya I can pull this off.

I made up my mind ot buy this last weekend, Monday morning I sold a $2300.00+ Sewer repair and guess what, I CAN USE MY NEW TRACTOR! So I told the owner I will give them free rotor rooter till I have my tractor in hand... AWSOME, I am gonna make 10% or so of my outgoing cash in ONE JOB! WooHOO!

I would agree. My take is all they can do is use a bx2360 (I think) motor, adjust PSI pressure as needed and be done.. Not much else left to do.

I predict that we see a new BX25/26 model that will have either the new 25 horse motor - or the same motor at the bx2660.

Why? Because the bx25/26 is the heaviest duty of the bx line, AND the bigger motor would match the heavier uses of the product.

Unless I was lied to, and since I posted this thread, I have spoken w/ a distribution center head and I was told that there are no replacements for the BX25 in 2012. So today I bought THIS! WooHOO! Tomorrow she will be born at my doorstep. Proud I be! She's a real looker!

I do not think so. Why since a more HP will do nothing since the thing is too light. Add more weight and why not by a B series.

Add in the new EPA issues, the unit will not be cost effective. I say it will say as is, maybe minor improvements, for about 2 to 4 more years.

The reason i believe a new bx25/26 may come in 2012 is three fold:
1. The new 25 hp motor could allow better efficiency matching of gear/axle ratio to torque band to rpm levels. Why would that be important? Because it would promote even better fuel and power efficiency and emission level reductions.

2. The logic is currently lacking in the bx product line that the most "capable" unit in the BX line only has a medium line engine size. Think about it, a bx2660 is not "supposed" to be superior to the bx25 in size or capacity. In addition, it would allow Kubota to unify the product numbering with the product descriptions and specifications.

3. Finally, "change sells" - and in difficult economic conditions, Kubota would want to keep new life and new interest in a very beneficial market area of new sales. The bx is the path to future B and l upgrades.

To summarize my thought. . . . . Improved product and efficiency . . . . New, fresh, and logical product positioning. . . . Improved marketing benefits.

Before I bought, I asked questions, specifically I asked a gent named

Mr. Americana or something similar at the Lodi California Distribution facility if there were any plans for a newer revised model and he was not sure, he asked for my number and he reserched it and called me back and said "NO new BX25 for 2012" . I gues they, dealers managers etc, just had a pow-wow recently as well, FWIW

I have another 48.5 hours to put on my engine before I rev it to redline, then I will see it's real potential. I received my BX25 TODAY and I am in tractor heaven right now...I didn't expect it to be a monster, but certainly it is a tad more powerful than I expected. Sure, a few more ponys under the hood would be nice I bet, but hey...IT IS A WINNER in my book...

1) and the new Hp motor will do what? How about the pressure issues? Better fuel based on what? Weight issues? Parts issues?

2) At this point/price, buy a b-series and skip the bx

3) change sells to some owners, not all. I still like my old bx22 vs my bx24..

Change sells to NEW customers - getting something different than the rest.

Ask yourself a simple question :
the 18 horse is a bx18-- and the 23 horse is the bx23-- and the 26 horse is the bx26--. So how long would you expect the most expensive product in that product line to have a 23 horse motor and be called a Bx25???

in 1999 Honda created a great minivan. 5 years later they took a great minivan with the SAME size motor, and managed to gain a 20% hp increase plus a 7 to 8% efficiency gain at the same time.

Toyota and Nissan did the same. I think Kubota has at least as much skill in designing and building. I continue to believe that sometime in 2012 a new or upgraded product appears in the bx series. Why? Because it is the hottest series in Kubota for a difficult economy.

Actually no. Right now its farm tractors that are impressing everyone, construction equipment is also growing again, consumer products (like BX's) have been doing just okay. We're all pretty happy with the current product, I'd rather see them stick with whats working for awhile and come out with somthing truly innovative than just jockying around engine options. We don't need most of the power that these things already have.

You are far better informed than I. I'd spoken with several dealers that told me their larger tractor customers - often started with bx or b units and added larger units later as needs grew with them. Has that been your experience?

These dealers also mentioned that in some years, they've been surprised in March or April by new model numbers or product update/upgrades. As an example, one dealer ordered GR2110 product in spring of 2011 - only to find out a month or so later that the new GR2120 product and brochures was out . . . So they still have one of the GR2110 products on their lot - and nothing but GR2120 brochures (new product but a year old model they just got this spring.)
