Be careful with those hydraulic lines too. They are in a pretty vulnerable spot. When you crush brush/wood, sometimes it will pop through the upper tines and those lines that are not behind the screen are unprotected.
I envision using the screen function to separate out our rocks from the soil. We live at the base of Mt. Ranier and all the land out here is FULL of all sizes of rocks. The screen will be invaluable to us for that reason alone. We also have a couple of fair size compost piles and the screen will be very usefull in separating the refined compost from the rest of material that still needs to decompose more.
I haven't had a chance to fully evaluate it yet, especially with REAL brush. The demo video showed it grabbing a mouthful of brush and having no problems. I suspect if we'd get deep into the woods there might be a problem???? Right now I don't have that environment to deal with, so I'm not worried about that. My needs are more related to sifting, spreading, raking, sorting, and lifting for now. The size and type steel used is outstanding for the big components. The screen is obviously the weakest part, but I guess I'll have to find out. Also the rake is very stout and looks like those on the front end of road graders. The demo video showed it doing a nice job.
The only hoses that are "exposed" are the two that lead into the T that is behind the screen. Those two hoses are inline with the aft side of the center spar. We'll just have to keep an eye on them when getting rambunctious with the grapple.
Can't wait to put it to the test. We'll post photos with the review.
