New LS XR4046HC

Finally decided that our Kubota B2710 HST was too small to do dirt work we need to do at the ranch and the New Holland TL100A was to big. Tractor too big, yes it happens.

After several months of emails, call, and visits with John Ryan, at RCO Tractor in Austin, we made a deal on a new LS XR4046HC tractor, Woods BB72X 6' rotary cutter, and Woods GSM84P rear grader.

Picked everything up right before Thanksgiving so had to take off time to do my TG cooking of pies, turkey, etc.

Tractor, cutter, and grader were longer than our GN Trailer so, made an early trip, Tuesday, with 12' BP trailer to pick up grader.

Between cooking tasks on TG dropped bucket from tractor and installed pallet forks to unload the Woods grader from BP trailer.

Then had to stop playing and get serious with TG dinner preparation. More later.

Thanks!

John Ryan at RCO Tractor found a buyer for me for the Kubota, Bush Hog 5' cutter, and Bush Hog 5' box blade and we sold it all for a very good price. This made buying the new tractor and equipment easy.

Hmmmmmm? Update profile or play with new toys? Hard decision. Will have to look into that. ;-)

I used mine for about 4 hours working on gravel driveways and found it to be way easier to learn to use than a box blade.

Wow !! I guess Santa comes early in TX. It must be tough each day deciding which piece of equipment you're going to use. Enjoy the new enablers and be safe.

Thanks George. Now I can actually post on the "LS Pictures Only" thread.

Been looking at the LS Tractors for about a year now. John Ryan and RCO Tractors in Austin TX. made the decision easy. They provided great service before, during, and after the sale.

It was actually an early BD present to myself.

Now, decision is the tractor with cab or the tractor with the cab.

Rick,
You're killing me...you lead such a privileged life. One that most of us envy.
The LS xr4046hc is my favorite tractor. I guess I'm going to have to take up the matter with Santa.

My favorite is still our big New Holland but, I justify the LS XR4046HC by telling everyone that I had to pay $29K for a very nice LS / RCO camo cap but, ......... it came with a free tractor! ;-)

Writing Santa is like libs voting ......... do it early and often!

My bride will learn to drive new tractor over Xmas holidays. She drove the Kubota B2710 to mow with the MMM a lot but, is scared to try the New Holland TL100A so........ one step at a time.

My, hopefully soon to be realized, retirement goal is to lay on patio chaise lounge, with 2 way radio, directing traffic. Yeah ... Right!

The 4046 is a fair size unit, but, is dwarfed by the 100A. The cab on the 100 huge. You could hold a dance in there !!

On the NH you enter the cab. On the XR4046HC you pull on the cab like a pair of coveralls.

. Once you're in, its a very comfortable cab. I am a happy camper!

Decision to upgrade our "small" tractor took almost a year. Started looking at LS and after all the great reviews here on TBN and elsewhere coupled with LS' aggressive pricing made the decision very easy.

Kubota B2710 could not lift our aluminum stock trailer.

That was the reason we upgraded to the 4046 also. Our Kubota L3400 couldn't lift 5 foot round bales with the FEL, and we're very happy with the purchase.
