Took delivery of a John Deere 4052R with the “snow cab” today! Nice machine. Looking forward to heat and A/C! Replacing my Massey 1742. View attachment 4543935

If you do go with chains, and I suspect that you’ll need to, look into putting rubber stall mats on your epoxy floor. I have the same floor in my garage that I put 4 x 6 stall mats from tsc down for my Argo and for my snowmobile, especially with the carbides. I also use them in front of the entryway since they are easier to clean than the rough surface of the epoxy. Love the timber frame shop. Not much of a deere fan though

Sounds like the general consensus is we don’t care about your new tractor as much as your nice barn.

Heads up … make sure that left hand glass door is fully closed when pulling into the barn. (Ask my why I mention this )

Nice Ride. Check all fluid levels first, especially the Diff's and RTFM. Read the ...... Manual.

So, I’m not the only one! Luckily I caught it in time and only put a NEARLY (except by me) unnoticeable tweak in the door frame.

Now its time to invest in a set of tire chains. Both my tractors are bigger/heavier that your beauty but they are helpless in a heavy snowfall without chains on the tires.

I recently took the 4052R through my field with 20 inches of snow in it and it just chugged through it without a problem.

Like others I also noticed the nice looking shop along with your new tractor. I’ll show my ignorance on bigger JD’s, is a “snow cab” an option or is that just what you call it.

Snow cab was a term the dealer used. I had to have it serviced already due to a leak in the heater core. It’s fine now.

I think we've seen some pictures of your barn in the past. Minor intererior pic iirc but enough to make an impression.

That was the barn at the house we sold to our son. It was a very nice barn though it is stick built with rough hemlock. The new barn is three years old and is true timber frame with Douglas fir.

I have an anti fatigue mat on the floor for the FEL bucket.
