Yes, very pleased with the progress. We have only been working on the barn for 8 days. But it has been spread out over months, 5 days in June and 3 days in September. I have 5 more vacation days to use in Sept, and 10 to use in October. Hoping the barn is done by then.

With the price of lumber rising, my timing on the barn kit was perfect. I bought the kit in November, before the COVID price increase. I went online and built the same barn kit today, and the price has gone from $13k to $18k. For once something worked in my favor!
I have this coming week off from work and the goal is to put on the fascia boards, metal roof and roof trim. Then we will finish the floor in prep to pour concrete. Maybe get to the vented soffits.
Weather is perfect. Sunny and 70 most days going down to 50 overnight. Perfect construction weather!

Monday we put on the fascia boards, added extra bracing to the walls and pre-drilled all of the metal roof panels. Today we put on the metal roof. Had 4 people on the roof and 3 people on the ground delivering roof panels. Used a rope and c-clamps to pull the panels up the roof into position. We had 3 platforms to work from - 12' shelving at the low end, a kicker platform a mid level and a kicker platform at the peak. Allowed us to work safely and not climbing on the outside of the roof.
Here's the crew. The roof crew worked hard all day. The ground crew had some time to relax! The ground crew had over 200 years experience between the 3 of them! The roof crew was 3 pastor's and me! I think we had the good Lord on our side today!

Very impressive. You and a couple others I've been reading now have me pricing out diy barn kits. Lol. Not having much luck finding decent ones in my area though. Looking good man.
