Ken, no disrespect to you but you can’t trademark common names like “ROPS Clamps”. My cousin is a bonafide trademark attorney and he simply shook his head when I showed it to him.
He is not Trademarking the name - he has filed for a PATENT (not the same thing) for the design and use of these specific clamps around the ROPS structure. Trademarks are brand-identity (like iPhone), but with a patent, you could license a single design to several manufacturers and they could all use a different TRADEMARK (brand) name for that same identical design.
Anyone can sell grab hooks, but "Ken's Bolt-On Grab Hooks" are a trademark; ROPS Clamp may or may not be a unique enough name, but "Ken's Bolt-On" (brand) "ROPS Clamps" (product) certainly are.
