New Seat & Steering Wheel Design

Mad Hatter I went ahead and sold mine private party in ordered a new 1720 with all the features I wanted and 0 hours. It was cheaper than buying those three upgrades separately... For me

How do you find the new seat with the backhoe model? Reason I ask, the seat has always been horrible, but also found the backhoe model seat was very "loose" regarding the brackets and springs. Does it have a diffrent seat bracket that tightend everything up ?

Fxdb,

So how did your sale and new purchase work out. You sure turned in around fast.

Found a very nice gentleman locally that gave me a fair price on mine considering what they go for locally. Also unfortunately he was going to buy from the dealer who was giving him a very high number initially. This made my sale even more appealing for him. Either way he got a very clean well maintained GC1710 - pm me for more.

For my new machine I ordered from Brunos in Arkansas. Best price. Guys, I really mean best price this is for real. Check out their website, fbookb etc.

So I looked up the AGCO online parts book. It is updated with the new seat and what I can tell by the part numbers the brackets are the same. It does show a "stay" part? However no picture. The price of the seat of course is crazy

Can't find the loader quick connects. Which from what I read, the larger size allows the bucket/loader to gain a bit of speed. Seems like a good upgrade. Is that the only part needed? Simple upgrade if so.

New taller Steering wheel is a simple upgrade.

If the prices ( other than the very $ seat ) are a simple and reasonable $, this would honestly cure almost all the issues I have found my unit. Other than the engine speed lever which I find is very stiff, and if they cured the "loosness" and "wobble of the seat".

Will have to wait for others that have the new unit to reply. That is if they owned a previous model for comparison. :)

I'm going to be at the dealer open house this weekend. I already have my gc1715 but I'm interested in seeing what the difference is between the gc1715 on mine compared to the seat and steering wheelon the new gc1715 and new gc1705.

If you don't mind Axle, ask the dealer about the loader quick connects. Like I said, if it makes a difference in the loader speed and more important ( I find it very slow ) bucket curl.

And of course any other improvements!

Thanks for this! I had it in the dealer for warranty work just after I got it and they told me there is nothing they could do.

Madhatter,

The dealer open house I'm going to tomorrow is quite a large one and its all inside with most all the models of Kubota and Massey will be there all shined up and pretty - big big area. In the process I plan to take a few pictures of the GC product changes if I notice anything obvious. Its the most unique dealer I've ever seen for size and selection.
