Well done, Hoye has Rops, but if your place is on the flat, I don't think I would spend the money. I have never had a tractor with Rops, and I don't have a level place on my place. I just plan ahead, and then go. My back yard, I have to keep the tractor in 4wd just to go down it, if I have it in 2wd will just slide down the hill. Spend your bucks wisely is all that I am saying.

I can almost see getting rid of the disc but not the tiller since you have both. You can never have too many attachments.

Those things cost big bucks and can put money in your pocket hiring out to do yards and gardens Id keep it until you think it thru better just go till something I bet you keep it.

Tail wheels are easy to come by on bush hogs they are usually made out of compressed rubber flaps anyway and they look like heck even when new. They take a beating so always use a proper tail wheel btw.

I believe the ym336 is 33 engine horsepower and about 26.9 pto horsepower. If the tractor is in good condition I think that is a good price , especially considering all the equipment. :thumbsup:

Should be 33hp hince the name 336. Thats the way all the others are named. And cause its a US model thats engine rated HP to the us standard.

Wouldn't you believe that I found a JD 4120 will all the attachments AND a tandem trailer for 3K less than the Yanmar. I think at that price, it's either a mis-print, or GONE. If I get a reply back that it's still available, I'm jumping on that. Loader, BH, belly mower, box, blade, finish mower and a 2006 with 400 hrs. It's got to be a mis print.

I also have the sister/brother to that tractor. If everything checks out to be in good working cond., with all the equip. that would be a good price.I'm intrested in knowing where the HYD return line from the loader ties into the sump

Kenmac, Looks like a honkin line that is shared (FEL and rears) and all returns back to the main pump.

Yep, compressed rubber just as described... It's pretty beat, so I may off it and get a nicer finish mower. Good call.

You sir are correct. 33HP unit. Starts and runs like a dream. 4WD drive works well (as well as diff lock - ask me how I know) so far so good with one minor issue below.

I have a neighbor with an older 5ft tiller, so we may just share. It's a Land Pride unit and looks to be only a few years old. Photo attached.

Ok YM Gurus......... I have a (what I think) is a minor issue.

When steering, I get a bit of play. Upon inspection, the yolk of the front pinion seems to be slipping back and forth about 1/8th inch. There are 4 bolts around the housing, so I think cranking them down will take care of that.... SECOND, will I lose all diff oil without a gasket in there....... (see photo)

There should not be any fluid in the drive shaft cover. If you are leaking 90 wt your front pinion seal is leaking. If it is hydraulic/transmission fluid your drop box seal is leaking. I believe there is a bearing in that location. Notice grease fitting ? May not have been greased in a while or bearing could be worn. Have you tried to grease it?

Thanks for the pic of the return lines. Hard to tell where / what they tie into for return. 3 point valve maybe ? in the side of the transmission housing ?

My 336D was loose in there as well. I removed the play by loosening the two (4?) big bolts which hold the front-most center bracket (the bolts are vertical going up into the hood assembly) in place and banging the bracket forward, then re-tightening. Just be sure the axle is all the way to the rear of the play, so when you slide the bracket, it goes all the way. There should be zero play in that pivot.

dtperk: I have had my 336d for over 20 years. It is fine that you have the HD spindles, I broke several spindles before I upgraded. I have pallet forks also and they really help in some projects.
I added ROPS, it saved my life potentially twice. Once in what would have been a roll over but it got stopped when the ROPS fell against a tree and kept it from going any farther. If I would have been a foot either way however I would have gotten squashed between the tree and the ROPS.
Another time the tip of a rotten tree fell and hit the ROPS. It bent the steering wheel, knocked off my exhaust system but never touched me directly. Lucky on that one. I would get the ROPS.
The 336d has a tendency if you mow in tall seeded grasses or get thistle down to clog up the screen and overheat. Watch for that. Otherwise you should like the same. Very good on fuel, about 1 gallon per hour.

It looks like it's a big "loop" Kenmac. The return line looks to go back to the tranny. the pressure line goes from the tranny to the FEL controls, then from the FEL back to feed the rear controls, then back to the tranny. (me thinks)

Noticed the grease fitting also. NO, I have not greased anything yet. (next order of business on a dry day). there is a bit of front/back play but may be some greasing would help, but it really looks like the main retainer bolts need snugged up.

I'm located in SW Cleveland (near Strongsville, OH). Probably will off the 6ft disk cultivator as I won't need it. it's in really good shape also, but still on the fence about the tiller. Will let you know first if we decide to part with it.
