New utility tractor (100hp range)

Back to your means/needs and buying budget:

I know Fendt is waaay more tractor than you’ll ever need, but as I said before you seem like a guy who wants the best.

If I am wrong, and money/cost is an issue, just buy a Kubota or case-IH/CNH with a CVT and equip it with the smallest available rubber. It’ll look/drive smaller and cost 50% less.
Put R-4’s on it and it’ll look smaller.

Looking at new utility tractors in the 100-120hp range.

Looking at either an LS MT7101, a kioti hx1151, TYM 115/130 or a Zetor 120.
All dealers are an hour or more away so dealer location is trivial unless I want to fork over money for green.

Doing field work/row crops, and hay
Pros and cons?

I think it's a matter of how many hours you are running a year. I'm not going to knock any of them being a bad tractor, but no one commercially farming buys any of those makes around here. They are aimed more at the non agricultural / hobby owner, and tend not to be available traditional agricultural dealerships.

Zetor did sell a lot of actual farm tractors here in the 1980s, basically for the crowd that didn't want to pay mainline price, but didn't want to buy a Belarus.

It was disappointing to say the least. I expected more. Most of the tractor was ok, but I found the Kubota was lighter built by like 40% in weight and the hydraulics were much weaker.
Here’s a photo comparison of my 2 135HP tractors. Both are 2010’s. The AGCO Challengers tires are about 40% larger than the “comparable” Kubota. It weighs 5,000 more pounds. The loader/hydraulic pump lits twice as much. The front & rear axles are 50% bigger. Only thing they share in common is they’re both 135HP.

The premium is for the purpose-built heavier Ag built components and the ag dealer support.

You’d be much better off with a used legacy brand real Ag tractor than a new aisian utility tractor. It doesn’t have to be an old open station noisy thing. Look for a 10 year old Massey, Deere, Case-IH, Challenger, etc. They have cabs/AC/buddy seats/all the comforts, too.

I'm curious how the full frame size Kubota tractors (M7 & M8 series) stack up to the Deere/CNH/Agco lines versus the larger Utility minded Kubota (M5 & M6 series)

Farms are smaller here and utility class makes up a lot of farms. The largest farms doing lots of forage and crop work are running the legacy brands. My local orange dealer sells M7s.

I think they stack up pretty well.
Kubota either subcontracted with, or outright bought a tractor factory in France and started using Cummins and other brands of engines. The big K’s are not 100% made by Kubota as we have traditionally expected.

I decided to get the Kioti HX1151. The price, function, and features seem to meet my needs. As nice as a Kubota might be, the price difference for an M6-111, I couldn't justify it. The M6 seems like the most comparable. a JD 6105e was even equally as expensive.
I should get my HX this week.

I don't know the price is lower then most of the available ones. But looking at it does it have the loader valving? It doesn't have a loader or any of the bracketing for a loader. Most of the other units for sale have snow blowers and or blades and loaders. If available to physically put hands on and no funny business by the seller it would be worth looking at. Also can you easily check for liens in your area.
