New warranty BX seat!

To be honest guys, I have a 2230 and rt900 and both seat stink! My brother-in-law came over to drive my rt, as he wanted one for his farm and immediately went out and bought something else... why?... the **** seat. I think our Kubota friends have 4'3" test drivers. For me, I bought it, I'll keep it, but my wife and I hardly drive it. I'll get a john deere gator next spring.

Now for the 2230, the dern seat is so bad, that I almost sold it, and I love the rest of the mower... I guess that's why I went out and bought a new KIOTI dk55c, instead of the L5040 kubota.... are you listening now?

Get the seats fixed and find some taller folks to test drive!

I went back and looked at previous posts and yes you are correct. But I was sent to the naughty room fro 24 hours because I tried to disguise it with zz instead of ss.

does this seat problem go back as far as the bx 23? i had a 23 for a few months but do not recall if the 24 has the same seat as the 23

Probably goes back to the first 1500/1800/2200/22's that rolled off the line. To my knowledge, the seat design has never changed to this point. By the strict letter of rule, I wouldn't figure that Kubota planned on every BX owner (back to the original tractors some 7 years ago) qualifying for the replacement seats at a reduced cost, but it seems that is up to each dealer.

My dealer didn't seem to care if I mounted it to my mailbox. Would have been a shame to waste the seat, though, since I don't find much time to sit on my mailbox. So I mounted it to my tractor. And my rear loves me for it.

Of course he knows what [tractor] he sold me, so probably never asked, but nevertheless...I would suspect that most dealers are ordering some "spares" and would be happy to fix you right up no matter what year your tractor was.

I have a friend whose BX2230 (approx 3 1/2 years old) has the same seat as my BX2350 that is a year old. My brothers BX1500 that is a 1 1/2 year old has a different seat and it is much more comfortable than my BX2350. The BX2230 has a different seat mount that appears to be "springy" with more travel than my BX2350. I checked the parts manual and the part number for the seat on the BX2230 and BX2350 are the same, but get this, the picture of the seat in the parts manual for the 2230 and the 2350, looks like the "new" seat not the piece of c*** they put on them originally.

c*** and keister- now I think you guys have gone too far. You guys are mounting them on mailboxes and I was first on my dealers list and I haven't got one yet, Oh boy!!!
