NewB with TnT 101 questions

Would there be a situation where I would want the TnT to remain hooked up and require the service of an additional rear remote?

Obviously that can happen. There's a reason some tractors come with 3 pair instead of one or two, but for most of us, that situation may not be likely to occur.

Bird, Cocre, kennyd,

Thanx for the links and sorry for the delay in replying.

I'm on the verge of feeling edu-ma-cated now.

Please expect me back with more specific questions once I get settled on a tractor and determine how many "factory remotes" are available. (MtnViewRanch, thanx for the empahsis on that point. Not that I'm mechanically inept, but I really want this machine to hit my ground ready to run!!)

Let me ask one more question here at the beginning, tho . . . .

Would there be a situation where I would want the TnT to remain hooked up and require the service of an additional rear remote? Or will I be able to handle most situations by simply disconnecting one of the TnT connections and hooking up another implement (at this time, a log splitter is the only thing that I see requiring rear hydraulics, but I don't want to create a gotcha right @ the start).

Thanx for the input guys!!!

Keith

If you are going to have a rear blade and or a landscape rake, it sure is nice to be able to change the angel of the blade-rake from the seat with a hydraulic. Consider this, IF the tractor can have more than one OEM rear valves, (2 or 3) then go with the OEM. If only one OEM valve is available, then forget about the OEM valve and go with a 3 valve aftermarket setup.

Good luck

In my opinion, get as many OEM rear valves as you can. In my case Deere only provided one set and I have to make do with that for the moment. Then it's only a question of unplugging some quick couplers and plugging others, sometimes with rather long hoses, to operate a grapple from the rear remotes for example. Another example, the lift cylinder of my mower deck uses one of the FEL lines. The log splitter can be plugged into any of the rear remotes.

atlkep1, I just bought a B3030 and had both OEM remotes installed by the dealer, he had to make new hoses for one set as the supplied ones would'nt allow the couplers to work properly but all is fine now,not sure which tractor you are considering but the cost of the remotes for the 3030 is $1225.00. You can see pics of mine in the Kubota owning/operating forum as new B3030 pics. Good luck, Bret
