Most grease fittings on Mahindra are metric. I source mine from my local auto parts store. Much cheaper than Mahindra.

Not considering the FEL, my tractor has 9 different part numbers for grease fitting. Most (6) are metric, two have no identification that indicate thread patterns, and one is the one I needed. They did send me a couple but have not shared the thread size so far. At least i was able to put a new one on.

Are you sure it isnt 27tpi? a common 1/8NPT is pretty close to 3/8" diameter and sometimes hard to see the taper.
Other than that, perhaps the upper portion is common? Usually when I break one like that I'll just grab a 90 or 45 degree fitting and swap the upper portion.

Nothing metric is even close to .375. 9mm is too small and 10mm is too big.

I have an KIOTI NX4510 and while greasing the front end loader fittings, one came out and low and behold, the threads where rounded off. Dealer has no info on thread size, I have a thread guage, 27 tpi taper. I believe it is a standard 1/8-27 taper pipe thread. Having difficulty finding the right tap. Will do some more hunting tomorrow. Wish the good hardware stores still existed!

28 tpi can be 1/8" BSPT or 1/8"BSPP. Kioti is fond of 1/8"BSPT and I also have them under a Hyundai (industrial) part number.

Could be. I'm not familiar with British stuff. Just never run across it or use it. If that's indeed what it is shouldn't be hard to find

Just to conclude my above contribution, the zirk fitting thread is a standard 1/8 pipe thread- taper -27 threads per inch. While I was at it, I checked the rest of the zirk fittings and glad I did as most all needed snugging up. Hope this helps others who may have inquiring minds.

I know this is an old thread but I am still having problems finding grease zerks for my Mahindra 4530. I am specifically looking for the one that goes where the 4wd front drive shaft comes in to the front axle.

Can anyone help?

Sorry, I have no specific info. I usually take an old zerk to the hardware store and they find one that’s the right size, shape and threads.

Most of the “bad” zerks really only need to be taken off and cleaned with a wire to get the old dry grease out that is plugging it or sticking the spring and little ball valve. Once you get it cleaned out and pump some new grease through, it’s good to put back on.

If it’s not the zerk, taking weight off the joint your trying to add grease to helps also.

Just buy a variety pack of metrics and one of standards. I've got several boxes.
