For long term storage I was told by the guys at MFA that since the sulfur was eliminated from diesel or either minimized drastically, that we are to add an additive to keep algae from growing if storing for several months. Perhaps this has already been discussed & I just missed it.....yes?

Algae only grows if there is water (moisture) in the fuel. I don't know that eliminating sulfur really has any affect on potential algae growth.
I run my pump through a combined water/dirt separator. I also keep the pickup tube off of the bottom of the tank to minimize water pickup.
Most diesel engines have a see through water separator in the fuel line. It's a good idea to look at it occasionally.
Some of the additives contain an algaecide.
