Based on order from "the boss" :) I started the build of a greenhouse. Will be a 13'x30' on a wood frame so a building permit was required. After 2 weekends of work, I've got the base and frame almost done. As can be seen, I had to level the base by haul almost 50 buckets of soil. I'm planning to have raised beds, with ventilation on both ends using gas cylinder and because we are just weekend warriors, the irrigation system will be on timers. Here are couple pictures from the last two weekends but more will follow weekly.

Nice project. What are you going to use for cover, greenhouse film?

Looks like you are off to a good start. What do they inspect on a greenhouse? Will you have power to it?

No greenhouse film. I'll use "11 mils superstrong clear(translucent) Woven Poly". My neighbor is using it for over 3 years now, in snow, sun and and wind and looks like new. The other advantage is that will diffuse the light and not create light spots inside.

I'll call them for inspection once is done. The funny part was that the plan was required to be stamped by an engineer.
I'll have just 12V for irrigation valves+radio+lights from my solar system. I'm working also on this, as I need to steal some power from my water well system. I'll post some pictures with the final configuration of the solar system.

Just an update:
- framing is done. We are planning to install the side doors next weekend.
- well water source done; system pressure 45PSI.
- irrigation pipes; surprise but no leaks so far.

Next weekend we are planning to transfer all the plants inside (200pcs.) and put the seeds in the ground. Also, if we have more time we'll try to install the tarp over the green house. I attached couple pictures.

Quite cold but now we don't care. We are done :cool2: and kids and wife are happy. Over 150 plants are in and lots of seeds. We tough the green house will be big but no, it's a fair size. Now, hope our friends raccoon will stay away, otherwise.....
Couple pictures:

That looks great. Do you have more info or a link for the woven poly?

VERY NICE!!!

As others have mentioned - more details on the irrigation system, plus a link to a source on the poly.

I was absent for a while but here is some info:

- source for foil: Northern Greenhouse — Our Superstrong Woven Poly
- irrigation system inspiration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LV2pK94dBt8
- source of water: being off grid I've got a solar system for water well pump.

and couple pictures with the last update from inside. Lots of salad, spinach and the rest will follow.

p.s.: I've got a radio running 24h inside with a hope to keep the racoons out. I was surprised in one morning to see one rabbit (glad not a raccoon) trying to reach the salad inside the greenhouse through the chicken wire. So don't hope the noise will keep the wildlife away, or maybe I've got to tune the radio on different post?
